We’ve spoke before about the effort it takes to be a Christian. Likely not his intent, but Pastor Harrison has been frequently pointing out lately that confessing belief in Christ does not automatically make your life rosy. There are miraculous acts of God, yes, but most of the time, God uses His creation to enact His will. That being people or nature. If your heart burns for an injustice in the world or you are restless to bless a group of people with something, God put that desire there. But it won’t happen without you putting in the effort. You may feel ill-equipped for the task, but that’s where faith comes in. Trust that if God put it on your heart, He will help you make it happen. It’s on you to step out in faith with the only thing you’re sure about is that God is on your side. Isaiah 43:18–19; 1 Corinthians 15:35-56; Psalms 145:8-9; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Revelations 21:5-6; Jeremiah 29:11-14
