16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
These 25 Words sum the purpose of the whole Bible!
These WORDS are so powerful and transformative that those who receive them will have The God kind of LIFE.
ZOE- Life that is influenced and ruled by God Kingdom!
The WORDS of John 3:16 preceded from the mouth of Jesus as a result of a conversation Jesus had Nicodemus.
Nicodemus was a leading Pharisee and a member of the ruling council, but Nicodemus was searching and he believed that Jesus had the answers. He was a secret follower of Jesus who was part of a group that spoke harshly against Jesus
I am glad that Jesus had this conversation because resulted the most transformative Words in the Bible.
As a 9 year old boy, I remember receiving a small green Gideon Bible. In the front of that Bible. I remembering it has the scripture John 3:16 written in different languages. Although I did not have an understanding of what it meant. I received the WORDS. I remember saying I wanted to live forever. I even looked around for very old thinking there were poople walking around the were living forever .
This one verse makes what we believe a revelation of relationship we have with the Almighty God
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
