Jesus is not late. He’s always on time.
As the Lord put this in my heart, I couldn’t wrap around what he was trying to tell me. As you may already know the Lord works in mysterious ways. Why am I going to talk to the ladies about Lazarus’ death?
I’m not trying to be funny Lord's facial reaction. He probably looked at me. Rolled his eyes up. And said are you serious?? Lol SMH I could imagine him saying if you can’t figure this out then you better ask the Holy Spirit. You know how stupid I felt. LOL.
I kept reading over and over John Chapter 11 and then I said again. This can’t be and the Lord said Really. Didn’t I tell you that there is a word set your time aside and here I go? Please confirm Lord.
I receive a Bible not just any bible. The Hebrew Greek study bible was gifted by a sister of the Church. I literally open the bible and Guess where it lands. John 11. Now how in the world can this actually happen. BUT GOD.
Let us read the John 11:4 -7. When I read verse 4. And it said this sickness is not unto death. But As for the glory of God? That the son of God might be glorified. Now. Verse five says that Jesus loved Martha and. Her sisters. And Lazarus. At that particular moment, it is to my understanding that there was a specific love or there was a special love for this family. But for some odd reason. He didn't move. Fast enough, he didn't move at the time that he had received the news that Lazareth was sick, he actually stood two days longer. Then the norm.
This particular verse. Starts making me think. Deeper than the norm. Here it is. We're calling upon Jesus. We know that if we call upon his name that he will show up and show out and be able to do the things that we are not able to do. But I also noticed. That it is in his time in that hours. We need to learn. To wait on him to be patient. To understand that they're going to be difficult moments in time, that we will call upon his name. And yes, he will answer yes. He hears our cry. Yes, he understands what we are going through. But yes. It is. For God's glory. Not for hours.
Vs 17 Upon arrival, Jesus found that Lazarus had been already in the TOMB for 4 days.
I can't.
Vs 21 Marth said if thug hasdst been here. My brother had not died
Something was brought to Jesus’ attention Not just something, but the sickness of Lazarus Was very close. To Jesus. And you would think that by bringing. This to Jesus is attention that he would react. Immediately. That he would stop what he would be doing till. Run. And heal. Nazareth.
If he loved him now. This was the time to show it. By running to them. For he knew that they were impatient. And they were paid impatiently, expecting him. But. On the contrary, the way he showed his love. Is not the same. He said he loved them and yet he lingered, but he loved them and therefore. He lingered. When he heard that his friend was sick, instead of coming post to him. Here bad two days. Still in the same place where he was. Now one. He loved them that he had a great opinion of Martha, Mary and of their wisdom and grace and their faith and patience and above others. His disciples. Then therefore. He D frd coming to them. And he might try them. As a trial might last. To be found, praise and honor. He loved them that he. Saying to do something great and extraordinary for them to work such a miracle. To relieve. As he had. Roth, for any of his friends. Therefore, he delayed coming to them. Then Nazareth might be dead and buried before he came.
If Christ. Had come presently incured the sickness of Lazarus. He had done more than what he did for many. If he had raised him to life when newly dead no more than he had done for some. But deferring this relief for so long. He had the opportunity of doing more for him than many now, and that note God had gracious intentions even in seeming days. Christ, friends at Bethany were not out of his thoughts. When he heard of their distress, he made no haste to them. When God worked deliverance temporarily spiritual. Public personal stands. It does and stay. The time and every time it's a beautiful in its season.
God knows our wants and griefs, and he cares, and he will know them from us. In his honored by our laying them before him. It is great comfort to us when we are sick in those. About us will pray for us. We have great. Encouragement in our prayers for those who are sick. We have grounded to hope that they are such as Christ loves. And we have reason to love and pray for those when we have reason to think Christ loves and cares for.
See this particular sickness. Was not until death. It was mortal. Proved fatal. In no doubt. But Lazarus was truly dead for four days. Black. That was not. The errand upon which this sickness was sent, it came not as a common case, but to be summoned to grave. But there was further intention that it had. It had been sent. And that Aaron? His rising from the dead would be defeated. That was not the final effort of this sickness. Yes, he died. And yet. It might have been said that he did. Not die. It also could have been said that he done, which is not done for. Preparati. Death. Is everlasting for awhile to this world. It is always. Wince. We shall not return. And in this sense. That it is not until death. The grave is long time. Tomb his house will be eternity. Christ said. Of the main purpose he restored life, she is not dead. This sickness. Of good people, however. Threatening. Unto death for not under Eternel death, the body death. To this world is the sole birth into another world when we are our friends are sick. We make it our principal support. There is hope to recovery. But in that we may be disappointed, therefore. It is our wisdom to build upon in which we can not be disappointed if they belong to Christ. Let the worst come to worse. They can not. Be hurt of the second death and not so much of the first death.
The people outside the cave declared you were dead and although we knew who the resurrection was
Having living proof that God could do all things.
Vs. 4 This sickness is not death But for the glory of God that the son may be glorified.
But it is for the glory of God that an opportunity may be given for the manifestation of God's glorious power. The afflictions of the Saints are designed for the glory of God, that he may have the opportunity of showing them favor. For this sweet mercies in the most. Effecting. I'm rich. By trouble.
Are you going to stay in the Cave where Lazarus was?
Are you going to listen to the Lord when he calls you out of the cave?
What was in the cave?
