Apostels creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,

maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord;

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died, and buried;

on the third day he rose from the dead;

he ascended into heaven,

and sets at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;

for he shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy catholic** church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and the life everlasting. Amen.

“God makes the good stuff” I heard this in a hillbilly song last weekend and God said yes, yes I do and would not let it go.

The Idea that “God makes the good stuff” goes along with various themes in the bible. especially in God’s goodness, creation, and how he provides for us. while the exact phrase is not in the bible, the bible contains a lot of verses that emphasizes God is the source of all that is good. especially when we are talking about how God provides for us and his blessings, as is stated in

James 1:17

17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

When we look at divine blessings some people may interpret them as good things in life such as love, joy,positive experiences, are seen as blessings or gift from God. But as we have talked in the past I do not believe in coincidences, I don’t believe that Susie and Billy just happened to meet one night and ended up getting married. I believe these are considered God moments, which also can be considered as Divine intervention. You see God only wants the best for us. He tells us over and over everything we go through is for the betterment of his kingdom. I would like to share a couple quotes I ran across when working on this sermon I feel is a good way to look at how God makes the good stuff.

“Difficult seasons can be flooded with the goodness of God.”

Mary Rooney Armand, Butterfly Living

“After going through what I went through and seeing what God can do…I want nothing more than to encourage everyone with this truth: even in the most awful moments of life…God is still so, so good”

Collene Borchardt, Rich Faith in Poor Health

When I read this I believe God gave me this because I personally have made this statement.

You see God is good in every thing in our lives. We need not look for help any further than Jesus for our understanding of what we need to do in any situation. When we look to him we need to leave it on his shoulders and he will handle our situation and create good from what ever it is for the good of his kingdom. You see it reads in

Psalms 34:8

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

This is a result as a life of moral and ethical choices. When we take refuge we decide, not forced to make good ethical and moral decisions because we have a desire to take refuge in the Lord. for he is good. this is reflected in our way we acknowledge the Goodness we experience from Jesus Christ when we willingly give him our heart. and are willing to acknowledge the way He handles our everyday choices in life are guided by the good Lord. When we do we need to give him all the glory. It is by our testimony that others will come to know the lord not by our words but by our action. we need to be willing to walk the walk if we are going to talk the talk. When we receive the good stuff from God it is not limited to the feel good things. We need to realize even in the hard times the good Lord can use that for the good of his kingdom. There are many ways we and others can learn from every situation, us by our experiences, and others by how we respond to every situation. so as we look at how God makes the good stuff we need to have hope and optimism in everything we experience in life. Because we have a belief in a benevolent force ore some call it a divine entity who can inspire a positive out look on life, which promises good things to come. His name is Jesus. If we look at

Philippians 4:19

19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

So you see God promises us to meet all our needs. Which expresses that God cares for and blesses his people. We need to realize With God all things are possible and he gives us His son along with the Holy Spirit to help us with our every needs and challenge. We are blessed with our own army to deal with our life here on earth so we can prepare for the day he comes to take us home. So we need to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and refer to the road map of life he gave us, which is our bible to be ready for God to make the good stuff.

Amen
