Luke 7, John 4

Luke 7 1-10

7 After he had finished all his sayings in the hearing of the people, he entered Capernaum.

2 Now a centurion had a servant who was sick and at the point of death, who was highly valued by him.

3 When the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and heal his servant.

4 And when they came to Jesus, they pleaded with him earnestly, saying, “He is worthy to have you do this for him,

5 for he loves our nation, and he is the one who built us our synagogue.”

6 And Jesus went with them. When he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to him, “Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof.

7 Therefore I did not presume to come to you. But say the word, and let my servant be healed.

8 For I too am a man set under authority, with soldiers under me: and I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

9 When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turning to the crowd that followed him, said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith.”

10 And when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the servant well.

I have always been interested in restoration.

In fact at one point I would tune into HGTV,

just to watch the home makeovers. The Idea that someone can transform dilapidated property, infested with rodents with no sign of life into something desirable by many - is astonishing.

To the inexperienced or untrained eye, it would be considered a bad investment but only one who has the ability to see beyond the current condition can see the true value. This takes work and you must be willing to pay the cost.

The biggest “secret” that is revealed during these tell-alls is that what you see onscreen makes the process look much faster than it was in real life.

These show producers pull off stunts to make the show more popular, like completing the renovation in in 24 hours. However, in reality these projects can take serval months and as an audience, all we get to see is the final edit.

A common Road blocks during home renovations

I declare, as we enter in to 2024 there would be NO LACK in all areas of your life!

According to Philippines 4:19 God will supply your every need according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

I don’t know who this is for but,

In 2024, Don’t you get discourage or let anyone undermine the work that god is doing in your life. He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

In other words……This is the Lord's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.

While it’s marvelous, Luke 14 says you must count the cost of being a disciple.

Paul says

12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

It is in difficult times that we find ourselves asking God Why?

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Jesus Heals a Centurion’s Servant

7 After he had finished all his sayings in the hearing of the people, he entered Capernaum.

2 Now a centurion had a servant who was sick and at the point of death, who was highly valued by him.

The centurion was obviously a Gentile, because a centurion was an officer in the Roman army.

Matthew account say “my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.”

You’re too valuable to die now.

God has invested too much in your for you to give up.

Be not worry in well doing for you shall reap if you faith not

The enemy can’t take me out!

3 When the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and heal his servant.

Connect with someone who love the lord and can get a prayer through.

Make your request known unto God

[AMP] Philippines 4:6

Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.

9 When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turning to the crowd that followed him, said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such ifaith.”

10 And when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the servant well.
