“My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations...”
Isaiah 40:31 “but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
Father, we come to you now as people who, if we are honest, are a little tired of waiting. We wait still for an end of war in Ukraine, and now in Israel. Let you kingdom come, and let us see the end of all wars. Lord, hear our prayer.
Yes, Lord, amen.
We wait for unanswered prayers regarding our health, our finances, our loved ones. Lord, we pause to present our needs to you in hope that you will act soon on our behalf. Lord, hear our prayer.
Yes, Lord, amen.
We wait for our family members and friends to come to a personal relationship with you. We take this moment to lift their names to you in our heart, in the certain hope that you desire all people to be saved. Lord, hear our prayer.
Yes, Lord, amen.
And we wait, Father, for the full redemption of our bodies, when we will no longer be under the curse of sin. But because we have sinned, we take this moment to confess to you. We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed. We have not loved you with our whole heart, and we have not loved our neighbor as our self. We take a moment to confess any specific sins that we are burdened by ____________. Lord, please forgive us. According to the promise of your word, Romans 5:1 “Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,” We receive your peace and forgiveness. Lord, hear our prayer.
Yes, Lord, amen.
Lord, as your word declares, help us to wait upon the Lord. As we wait, let us wait in faith. Cause us to rise up in the strength of your Spirit, and to run the race you have given us with endurance. And we look forward for that day when we will rejoice that all that which we have waited for has been fully satisfied. In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
