Short story:
1.) Have you ever felt like you were Disconnected from those in the church?
and those around you?
2.) You dont fit in....
3.) In time, it brings you to a place where your not happy with life...
You become:
Easily angered; bitter; negative; resentful; jealous; envious; prideful...
Douglas J. Moo
The past experience of dying with him and being raised with him, is the basis for our present status, as people whose heavenly identity is real, and secure, (yet hidden), an identity that will be gloriously manifested in the future.
Matthew 2 13-15 NIV
Lets stand for the reading of the Word.
Lets pray
Matthew 2:13–15 (ESV)
Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said,
“Rise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you, for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy him.”
And he rose and took the child and his mother by night and departed to Egypt and remained there until the death of Herod.
This was to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet, “Out of Egypt I called my son.”
Point 1 He will make a way
We just got done celebrating the birth of Jesus
We seen the maggis left
Here in Matthew 2:13
The Angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph and said

“Rise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you, for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy him.””

-We know that Herod did not want to share the throne........
-Shortly after Jesus was born, Herod delcared that all baby be murdered.
A.) Jesus was called, when you are called, it may seen that there is no way, but the Lord will make a way.
The phropet Hosea 11:1
“When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.”
B.) Even though Jesus was taken into hiding, it didnt mean he was forgoten.
Has it felt like you have been hidden? or Forgoten? “YOUR ARE NOT FORGOTEN”,
The Lord is about to bring out of hidding!!!!
Lets acnklowdge a few things before we move forward......
1.) how many of you had things that you struggled with last year? (Lets be real) We all did
2.) Can agree, that those habbits followed you into a new year?
“Today i speak to that struggle, and we him give his notifation, that it time is up”........
HE is going to deal, with what he needs to be delt with, before this month ends:) as the year continues.
3.) Last year was the past; Today we are in the present and getting ready for the future.
The past; The Present; and the furture (Comes down to this very moment)
C.) Just as Jesus was seperated,
As we are in prayer and fasting this month
-It is a moment of drawing closer his word, presence, and worship
Many of you have brought an offering of yourselves, we will become weak, weary, tested
2 Corinthians 12:9–11 “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. I have been a fool! You forced me to it, for I ought to have been commended by you. For I was not at all inferior to these super-apostles, even though I am nothing.”
Point 2 Hiden for a moment
(Heb. 11:23).
“By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden for three months by his parents,
because they saw that the child was beautiful, and they were not afraid of the king.
Pharaoh, was scared that one day there would be too many Israelites and that they would take over Egypt.
The enemy feared what Moses and God’s people carry!!!
He feared what they would grow into!!!!
Exodus 12 Pharaoh then commanded that all the newborn Israelite baby boys should be killed.
A.) Moses He had a purpose before he had been concieved in the womb of the mother
Jerehiah 29 11
b.) We know that Moses wasnt perfect,
He was not disqualified because of his failures before he answered the call of God.
Later it would cost him from entering into the promise land.
Exodus 16:1–27 “They set out from Elim, and all the congregation of the people of Israel came to the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had departed from the land of Egypt. And the whole congregation of the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness, and the people of Israel said to them, “Would that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots and ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.” Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I am about to rain bread from heaven for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not. On the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as they gather daily.” So Moses and Aaron said to all the people of Israel, “At evening you shall know that it was the Lo…”
Point 3 the Return Home
A.) The time of being hidden had come to an end
B.) The time had arrived for Joseph and Mary to come home with Jesus
Matthew 2:19–23 “But when Herod died, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying, “Rise, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the child’s life are dead.” And he rose and took the child and his mother and went to the land of Israel. But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there, and being warned in a dream he withdrew to the district of Galilee. And he went and lived in a city called Nazareth, so that what was spoken by the prophets might be fulfilled, that he would be called a Nazarene.”
Point 1 He will make a way
point 2 Hidden for a moment
point 3 He was lead out of hidding
Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
Romans 3:10–18“as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”
“Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive.” “The venom of asps is under their lips.” “Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.” “Their feet are swift to shed blood; in their paths are ruin and misery, and the way of peace they have not known.” “There is no fear of God before their eyes.””
Romans 10:9 “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Matthew 3:1–3
In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea,
-“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah when he said,
“The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
‘Prepare the way of the Lord; make his paths straight.’
A.) Could you imagine?
What John felt in his spirit?
The Burning, passion; and the word
(REPENTENCE) The Braking; turning from the old ways, to the Lords ways,
Have you ever felt something big was around the corner?
John was seperated to prepare a way for the Lord; to prepare the people for the son of God.
B.) Misision driven,
He did not care about the worries of his time, what he would eat, or wear.
All he knew, what he was born for!!!!
Matt 6 25
25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
