INTRODUCTION

Before Christmas, we wrapped up “Simple Gospel.”
Here’s the reality: As Christians, we’re called to be sharing the gospel with the world around us.
Matt. 5 — salt of the earth/light of the world. City on a hill.
Over the next few weeks, we’re going to see what evangelism looks like, and explore some different tools for sharing the gospel with others.
One of the best ways we can share the gospel with others is by sharing our story with them.
Kids telling stories.
Long, seem pointless.
We all have stories, and unlike stories told by kids, ours have a point...
Your story has a purpose. It’s a result of God’s love for you, and meant to influence the people around you.
READ: PSALM 139 ;
PRAY

1. YOU WERE CRAFTED WITH CARE. (PS. 139)

Thomas crafts.
Has to be JUST RIGHT.
God made you on purpose. He knit you together.
Think about knitting — how intricately the strings are woven together.
Think about the human body — the way everything is held together.
God formed your inmost parts. He crafted you in a particular way with a particular purpose.

2. YOU WERE MADE WITH A FUTURE PURPOSE.

When God made you, he already knew everything about you and what you would become.
Hebrews 12:2 (CSB):
“keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. “
Pioneer = Author: Archegos = Architect
An architect has to know everything about a building inside and out before it’s ever built.
Have to consider where it will be built, what it will be used for, how it needs to function, how the different parts interact, etc.
God knew everything about you before you were ever born. He knew exactly what your story would look like, and what it wold be used for.

3. YOUR PURPOSE IS TO BE GOD’S AMBASSADOR. (2. COR. 5:16-21)

If you’re a Christian, God has given you the ministry of reconciliation.
That means it’s your job to be God’s ambassador.
What does an ambassador do? They represent their country.
God’s purpose for you, and for your story is for you to represent him to the world.
He wove this into you from the very beginning when he made you. He put his stamp on you.
Remember, God formed your inmost parts.
Inmost part? Laminin.
Laminin = a protein that binds muscle tissue/organ tissue together. Glue.
It’s the glue that holds everything about our bodies together.
SHOW SLIDE
From the very outset, God wove his love for you into the fiber of your being.
You were made with on purpose, with a purpose.

CONCLUSION

Your story, and mine is a result of God’s love for you.
Share testimony.
I’m here talking to you about God’s love as a direct result of his love for me.
Our story is a result of God’s love, but it’s not ours to keep. The purpose of our story is to bring him glory as we share with other people.
