An in depth discussion on the first six days of creation. In an age of increasing persecution, it is paramount that we Christian believers are grounded in the faith we proclaim. As miraculous signs and wonders begin to increase, we must be able to discern the truth from the lies. A solid understanding of the Six Days that divide the world is a powerful weapon against against the adversary of truth.

Genesis 1:1–5 (CSB)
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness covered the surface of the watery depths, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. 3 Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” There was an evening, and there was a morning: one day.
Because this is the first Sunday of this new year, I felt it was fitting to begin this year off Right.
That is, Right at the beginning.
The beginning of everything.
For us Christians and believers of Abrahamic religions, it all started as recorded for us in the Book of Genesis
Before we go any further this year, we need to understand exactly what we believe, and why we believe it.
Because I believe in my heart, Persecution of the Christian faith has already started, and will ultimately get worse counting down to the Rapture of the church.
As we face opposing world views, and as we may very well begin to see more miraculous signs and wonders in the heavens,
We need more than ever to be grounded in the faith, so that we may be able to stand in that evil day.
Page one, verse one.
Genesis 1:1 (CSB)
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
In this world, there is unreconcilable division.
Not only in this world, but in each country, state, city, and community.
These divisions can trace their roots to how one interprets the story of these first “Six Days.”
The history of the world, as we believers in Scripture understand it, begin on the first page of the book of Genesis.
The book of Genesis is the first book of not only our Bible but, also the Jewish, or Hebrew Bible, the “Torah.”
The first five books of the Bible are known by the Greek word, Pentateuch.
pentateuch
“Pen·ta·teuch”
Penta = Meaning 5
Teuch = Meaning book
The 5 Books of Moses
As Translated by the Septuagint, the Greek Translation of the Old testament.
Septuagint = (sep-too-uh-jint), means, “70
also represented by the Roman Numerals LXX = 70
In your bibles when you see a reference to LXX that is what it is referring to, the Septuagint
The Pentateuch, or Hebrew Torah was translated into Greek in the time of King Ptolemy II Philadelphus (285–247 bc
J. William Johnston, “Septuagint,” ed. John D. Barry et al., The Lexham Bible Dictionary (Bellingham, WA: Lexham Press, 2016).
The reason for this was because the Conquest of Alexander the Great left the world he conquered speaking Greek.
There are several probable reasons why it was translated into Greek
Some say it’s because the Jews who were still scattered all over the Greek Speaking world;
Especially those living in Alexandria, Egypt, were losing their ability to read and write their native Hebrew.
Hence they wanted it.
Other sources say it was because the Greek Pharoah Ptolemy II wanted an extensive library and this translation was viewed as necessary.
Regardless, I believe that God ordained this translation and history has shown it to have its place in history.
From it we get the Word in book form we enjoy today coming from the earliest complete Manuscripts
Codex Sinaiticus
Codex Vaticanus
Codex Alexandria
Back to Genesis
The first five books of the Bible get their names by using the first words in the book.
The first word in the Hebrew in the book of that we call Genesis is the word “Bereshith” Meaning, “In the Beginning”
Bereshith Bara Elohim
Bereshith = In the beginning
Bara = Carries the connotations of creating out of nothing. This is where we get the latin term = Ex Nihilo = Out of Nothing
Elohim = God, plural
Who are they? God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We get the name Genesis, because the Book of beginnings, records the genealogies of not only man, but of all that is.
Plants, after their kind
Animals,, after their kind
and Man, the crown of creation.
The Greek Septuagint picks up of this and names the book, Genesis or “geneseōsmeaning Birth, or Origin
In verse 2 we read
Genesis 1:2 (CSB)
2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness covered the surface of the watery depths, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.
So, here we are.
The earth at this point, is formless, empty and dark.
There is no light of any kind.
The atom isn’t even here yet. There isn’t anything spinning around a nucleus at this point.
It’s just God the father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Oh, and an empty, formless rock covered over with water.
Then, out of nowhere,
God spoke!
Genesis 1:3 (CSB)
3 Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
He said Let there be Light, and there it was.
Now, let’s examine this for a bit shall we?
What is this Light?
We all know the Sun, the moon and the stars.
We all know that we can see because the sun gives us light, but the sun wasn’t created yet.
So, what in the world was this light?
It can’t be the sun or other stars because they aren’t any yet.
The light referred to here is the “Shekinah glory”
The Glory of the presence of the Lord.
If we jump from the beginning of time to the end of time
Meaning from Genesis to Revelation we get some clarification on this mysterious light.
Revelation 22:5 (CSB)
5 Night will be no more; people will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, because the Lord God will give them light, and they will reign forever and ever.
The Lord inserted His Glory into the newly created realm, or dimension
He is the source of all that is, for He created it all, every molecule, every atom, etc.
John 8:12 (CSB)
12 Jesus spoke to them again: “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.”
He’s been telling us this since the beginning.
I’ve heard an apologist say,
The New Testament is in the Old Testament “Concealed
The Old Testament is in the New Testament “Revealed
This certainly seems to be the case here.
In verse 4
Genesis 1:4 (CSB)
4 God saw that the light was good, and God separated the light from the darkness.
God made a clear distinction between what should be considered light and what should be considered Darkness.
He separated the two.
It’s important to realize this truth.
Matthew 25:32–33 (CSB)
32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate them one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on the left.
There it is again, the New Testament Concealed in this Old Testament History of Creation.
There isn’t a grey area, He drew a line!
Genesis 1:5 (CSB)
5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” There was an evening, and there was a morning: one day.
Here we see that the “Day” actually starts from evening til morning.
Unless you are Jewish, we miss this point.
Our day seems to begin in the morning doesn’t it?
We wake up in the morning and the day begins, and so on.
But the Jews recognize this, thats why there days start in the evening, like their Shabbat or sabbath, and passover start et evening time.
Genesis 1:6–10 (CSB)
6 Then God said, “Let there be an expanse between the waters, separating water from water.” 7 So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above the expanse. And it was so. 8 God called the expanse “sky.” Evening came and then morning: the second day.
9 Then God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry land “earth,” and the gathering of the water he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.
Now we don’t know for sure if when the dry land appeared, it appeared as one solid continent or not.
Some scientific models suggest the world started off on a super continent like Pangea, then after time and geological catastrophes like the flood, it broke up into the continents we have today
We don’t know for sure, but it is definitely possible.
Genesis 1:11–13 (CSB)
11 Then God said, “Let the earth produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds.” And it was so. 12 The earth produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 Evening came and then morning: the third day.
Any one guess what is missing here?
We have plant life being created before the Sun.
But we learned in Science class that Plants require the Sun for photosynthesis.
But the sun hasn’t been created yet, so what is giving light to the plants? The Glory of the Lord!
Let this remind you all right here and now.
God is not bound by anything.
If the plants that require the sun’s light for survival didn’t have the sun,
They had to rely on the Glory of God for their survival, they not only survived but thrived
If you brother or Sister, don’t have or can’t seem to get what ever it is that you need from this world,
Wether it is
a healing for a sickness from earthly medicines
a Financial blessings out of this world from your economic troubles.
What ever it is that you are needing,
Don’t look to the world for it, Just rely on the Glory of the Lord to provide what ever it is for your survival, AMEN!
Genesis 1:14–19 (CSB)
14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night. They will serve as signs for seasons and for days and years. 15 They will be lights in the expanse of the sky to provide light on the earth.” And it was so. 16 God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule over the day and the lesser light to rule over the night—as well as the stars. 17 God placed them in the expanse of the sky to provide light on the earth, 18 to rule the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 Evening came and then morning: the fourth day.
These six days of creation divide the world between those of us who believe Bereshith Bara Elohim,
In the Beginning God Created out of nothing
and those who prefer pagan origins for the world.
These are those that worship the sun, moon and the stars as Gods as did many ancient cultures in history,
and some still do to this day.
Proof of this is in the cosmology section of local news papers etc.
Readings of the horoscopes etc.
They were created to mark calendars and seasons, not to tell the future, Only God can do that
Genesis 1:20–23 (CSB)
20 Then God said, “Let the water swarm with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.” 21 So God created the large sea-creatures and every living creature that moves and swarms in the water, according to their kinds. He also created every winged creature according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them: “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the waters of the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth.” 23 Evening came and then morning: the fifth day.
Notice verse 21 says He also created every winged creature.
This means things that aren’t birds,
Bats
Flying insects
and even the Pterodactyls or other now extinct flying creatures.
If it flew, it was created on this day.
This also refutes evolution, because evolution claims one thing became all things.
The Word of God says everything was designed to reproduce after its own kind.
So, there is no way evolution can join in with the creation narrative.
They don’t mix.
Genesis 1:24 (CSB)
24 Then God said, “Let the earth produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that crawl, and the wildlife of the earth according to their kinds.” And it was so.
On this day, all the land animals were created, even what has come to be known as dinosaurs were created on this day.
Then the crowing moment of Creation happened,
God said, in
Genesis 1:26–31 (CSB)
26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness. They will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, the whole earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth.”
27 So God created man in his own image;
he created him in the image of God;
he created them male and female.
28 God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and every creature that crawls on the earth.” 29 God also said, “Look, I have given you every seed-bearing plant on the surface of the entire earth and every tree whose fruit contains seed. This will be food for you, 30 for all the wildlife of the earth, for every bird of the sky, and for every creature that crawls on the earth—everything having the breath of life in it—I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so. 31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good indeed. Evening came and then morning: the sixth day.
I see its ironic, If you’ll notice that we were all created as vegetarians.
We didn’t consume meat until after the flood.
The significance of what I see here is we were created to survive off of the very plants that were surviving off the Glory of the Lord!
Think about it.
The plants recieved life from the Glory of the Lord,
We then eat those plants, that recieved their life from the Glory of the Lord,
Therefore, we too were created to survive on what we receive from the Glory of the Lord.
It was only after sin did we rely on Meat on animals that is only provided if death make its possible.
Death came to the world through Sin.
So, it is no wonder why our very human nature now is corrupted by sin,
Sin is what we are consuming or rather it is because of sin that we consume it.
Now we learn in the story of the Flood, and in the book of acts that the Lord has sanctioned eating meat but we
Understand that it wasn’t His intention, we were supposed to survive on His Glory
But Sin came into the world and death through sin,
Separating the Light of the world from the darkness that is now in it.
Drawing the line.
This is why Jesus came into the world.
Not to make us all good people
But to allow us to survive again, living only off of the Glory of the Lord, His Shekinah Glory
Amen!
