How to live for Christ in 2024

New Year New Me.

As the New year is here, every year there are new years resolutions. Do you all have any?

I think a simple New years resolution is i want to Live for Jesus in 2024.

How do we do this? This is not an extensive list, but we can do it in 3 ways.

Grow in Christ

Look at how Jesus did this. He had the 12 apostles, then he also had his inner circle.

Ultimately they followed Jesus, what he taught, being in the word, in prayer. Living for Jesus in their day to life. Being a transformed creation.

Love your neighbor

Mark 12:31 “The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.””

even the annoying neighbor, we all have them. I live in an apartment and the people above get up early, we talking like 4 am, and they are stomping all around. I am tired, but i gotta love them.

That goes into your school, your classroom, your house, we as christians are to love them as Christ loved the church, it is a sacrificial love. That is unconditional. What does that mean?

Reach the lost with the gospel.

Matthew 28:19–20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.””

How do you know of Jesus? someone had to tell

If not you, then who? If not now, then who?

How do i share?

Why do we do all this? For his Glory.

1 Corinthians 10:31 “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

As followers of Christ what we do should be for the glory of God. On your sports team, in your classroom, on your bus, at your work place, all we do is for the Lord.

My hope and prayer for you all this year is that have a heart and desire to live for Jesus this year. To grow, to love, and reach the lost with the gospel this year and beyond. Let’s pray.
