God IS Good

God saw that it was good Genesis 1:3-4, 1:6-7, 1:9-10, 1:12, 1:18, 1:21, 1:25, 1:31 (very good)

God saw that it was NOT good: Genesis 2:18 “Then Yahweh God said, “it is not good that the man is alone. I will make for him a helper ⌊as his counterpart⌋.””

Proverbs 31:11 “The heart of her husband trusts in her, and gain he will not lack.” (there is no doubt or lack of confidence in his helper (like wise)

1 Corinthians 11:9 “For indeed man was not created for the sake of the woman, but woman for the sake of the man.”

We think we know what’s good. We decided to take the control from God and do our own thing. We didn’t TRUST in God, we didn’t TRUST that he knows what’s GOOD for us.

Genesis 2:15 “And Yahweh God took the man and set him in the garden of Eden to cultivate it and to keep it.”

Genesis 2:16–22 “And Yahweh God commanded the man, saying, “From every tree of the garden ⌊you may freely eat⌋, but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day ⌊that you eat⌋ from it ⌊you shall surely die⌋.” Then Yahweh God said, “it is not good that the man is alone. I will make for him a helper ⌊as his counterpart⌋.” And out of the ground Yahweh God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky, and he brought each to the man to see what he would call it. And whatever the man called that living creature was its name. And the man ⌊gave names⌋ to every domesticated animal and to the birds of heaven and to all the wild animals. But for the man there was not found a helper ⌊as his counterpart⌋. And Yahweh God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man. While he slept, he took one of his ribs, and closed up ⌊the flesh where it had been⌋. And Yahweh God fashioned the rib which he had taken from the man into a woman and brought her to the man.”

God saw man needed other human beings, God was never meant to be enough for us on this earth, he created community for us, people to fellowship with, we were not meant to be isolated.

Ministry- too many times i see people going it alone, trying to trailblaze a new ministry and make a name for themselves, when there is already a ministry that is working in the country. Why not team up and do what God is already blessing. We need one another in order to do ministry well..

God commanded Adam what he could eat and what not to eat, then he follows it by man should not be alone. So he created a suitable helper, EVE.

I believe God saw that man needed accountabilit, “strength in numbers”. After he told Adam what to do and not do, he said I need to create a woman to make sure Adam remembers and listens.

God created humans with choice, and with that in mind we see how easy it is to take upon the role of God in our lives. we listen to the voice of the enemy in our lives or our natural that wants to be filled up with worldly things, instead of listening to the voice of God.

when we ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, we innately began to decide what was right and wrong. We took that trust from GOd and placed it within ourselves.

Which is why Israel means “wrestles with GOd” because they wrestled with God constantly on trusting him, following him, and believing that GOd knows what’s best and what’s right and whats true.

after we take control and put it in ourselves, pride then enters when we are confronted. We are quick to blame and not take the blame. We are quick to put the fault on someone else, it was this woman you created for me that caused me to stumble… (which in reality who was Adam blaming, God)

so thus starts the story of JEsus, and why he was needed to come, why God needed to come in human form to save humanity and bring back the world to its original state, SHALOM which is peace, not just no war, but a state of total and utter perfection. god created this world shalom, and shalom is coming, we lo
