God gave Paul a word about the storm that would over take the boat and possibly cause injury and death, but the Captain on the ship failed to heed the word.
acts 27:20 saysThis terrible storm lasted many days , it blotted out the sun and stars, the people on the boat where utterly hopeless.
The started exhausting all of there options so they began throwing cargo over board and the next day the ship tackle.
Many days they gave up hope of getting out of there alive.
Have you ever struggled with something that many days you felt like giving up hope?
Romans 4:18 NKJV
18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.”
Abraham kept hoping even in contrary to human hopes.
He kept on in hope, believing contrary to all human hopes!
Abraham kept believing even in the face of difficult circumstances, even in opposition to mans opinion. He held onto the promises of God.
Maybe Gods hope is for you to stay in your situation. And trust Him through it.
But mans hope is to some how rid myself from this situations because of its level of difficulty.
They looked at Paul like who is this prisoner telling us how to run our ship.
Sometimes Gods answers come in unexpected places.
God choosing a drunkered to hung up on pagan life and tradition using him to replenish the earth. Unexpected places
God choosing Israel to reveal His long suffering, and perseverance
