How it reads in the greek: “The thief only comes to steal and kill and destroy (No period) I came that life, they may have and abundantly have it.”

Thief: (Kleptes) [NOUN] A thief by imposter

- The use of kleptō [VERB] (Lat. clepere) emphasises the secrecy, craft, and cheating involved in the act of stealing or embezzlement.

- The purpose of the coming of the kleptēs (Thief) was to destroy life in furthering his own ends.

- By contrast, Jesus had come to give life, even at the expense of his own, and abundant life at that (Jn. 10:10).

But there is 2 more actions of the Thief:

The first one is Steal

Steal - Klepto

Kill - Thyse

Jn. 10:10 To Slay or Kill (Same word used for the slaying of Christ as our sacrifice )

Destroy - APOLESE

The idea is not extinction but ruin, loss, not of being, but of wellbeing.

This word means a definitive destruction, not merely in the sense of the extinction of physical existence, but rather of an eternal plunge into Hades and a hopeless destiny of death”

Abundantly - (Perissos)

: Over and above, more than necessary

: An exceeding measure, something above the ordinary

: In a manner marked by great quantity
