Text: Hebrews 13:8.
Intro: kids playing a game, one starts to lose, they switch games (Change)
or when my parents would say we could go to the park after errands, then say “I changed my mind”
Change can be a good thing, it can also be an incredibly frustration thing, or even down right bad
we live in a world where we have to adapt to change all the time. Its nice for something, someone to remain constant forever

Immutability: “God is unchanging in his being, perfections, purposes and promises, yet God does act and feel emotion, and He acts and feels differently in response to different situations.” - Wayne Grudem

His Person

people change (patient when young, bitter when old, vice versa) or well to sick
His disposition is always the same
grace toward us

His Intercession

Christ’s intercession is absolutely necessary for us
if you’ve ever hired a bad lawyer
Hebrews 7:25 ESV
Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
even while we sin
does he ever get tired of doing it?
does he ever slack off?
“Father, I know that believer has sinned. but remember what i have done for that believer. let your wrath be removed from him and focused on me. let your grace abound to that believer for my sake, your only Son.”

His Purpose

Psalm 33:11 ESV
The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations.
his purposes are many
a finished work on the cross
eternal life promised
the dominance of His church in the world
putting all enemies under his feet.
