Joseph (Genesis 39):
Joseph faced intense temptation when Potiphar's wife tried to seduce him. Despite the pressure and the potential consequences, Joseph resisted and said, "How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?" (Genesis 39:9). He fled from the temptation, choosing to remain faithful to God.
Daniel (Daniel 1:8, Daniel 6):
Daniel and his friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego faced various temptations in the Babylonian court. Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the king's food (Daniel 1:8) and later, despite the decree against praying to anyone but the king, continued to pray to God, facing the lion's den as a consequence (Daniel 6). God delivered Daniel from harm due to his faithfulness.
Job (Job 1:22, Job 2:10):
Job faced immense suffering and temptation to curse God when he lost his wealth, health, and family. However, Job resisted the temptation, saying, "Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?" (Job 2:10). Job's perseverance through trials serves as an example of faithfulness amid temptation.
Paul (2 Corinthians 12:7-10):
The Apostle Paul faced a "thorn in the flesh" that he described as a messenger of Satan to buffet him. Despite pleading with God to remove it, Paul learned to trust in God's grace, saying, "Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong" (2 Corinthians 12:10). Paul overcame the temptation to despair by relying on God's strength.
These biblical characters provide examples of faithfulness and victory over various forms of temptation through their trust in God and adherence to His principles.
Jesus Christ (Matthew 4:1-11):
In the wilderness, Jesus faced temptations from Satan himself. Each time, Jesus responded with Scripture, saying, "Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve" (Matthew 4:10). Jesus resisted all temptations, setting an example for believers.
1 Corinthians 10:13:

1 Peter 5:8-9:

1 Thessalonians 3:5:
"For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain."
2 Peter 2:9:
"The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished."
James 4:7:

1 John 2:16-17:
"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever."
