What does today culture say about gender and ones sexuality.
What does today culture say about gender and ones sexuality.
Our culture insists that true freedom is found when we get to express ourselves and follow our own desires. Scripture’s teaching on sex is seen as restrictive and outdated, and many people are even wanting to determine their own gender. Anything your heart desires” has been hijacked.

“Anything your heart desires”
Such slogans now inspire people to surgically remake themselves. The spread of “transgender” identity, in which men seek to become women and women seek to become men.As Scripture indicates and common sense shows, men and women are different anatomically.
If we was to look at the bones of a women and a man one could determine if that person was a male or female by their pelvic bone. A female pelvic bone has a broader sciatic notch where a male has a narrow sciatic notch and the reason being is for child birth. we could pretend to change our identity from an outside appearance how our bones structure will not change.
When looking at Scripture God clearly made male and female and look at Genesis 2:23 “The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.”” Adam named his wife “woman” because she was distinct from him, a man! However people people would make the claimed that God made me in his image which is true but not in the sense they are usually talking about . You see God is not flesh and blood like human rather He is of Spirit like in John 4:24 “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”” When God made us in his image (Latin, imago dei) refers to the immaterial part of humanity. It sets human beings apart from the animal world, fits us for the dominion God intended us to have over the earth. We as human was design to be different mentally, morally and socially.
Mentally because we as human can rationalize and make decision.
Morally, humanity was created in righteousness and perfect innocence, a reflection of God’s holiness .
Socially, humanity was created for fellowship. This reflects God’s triune nature and His love.
However because of sin that enter into the world because of them it impaired the image of God within themselves, and passed that damaged likeness on to all their descendants. But the good news is that we served A God Jesus Christ who will change us if we humble ourselves to Him and allow Him to change us, even when we don't have the strength to do it. Psalm 73:26
"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
Even when you are physically, emotionally, or mentally struggling, God will remain with you through the hard times providing you with the strength you need to. We need to change our ways and need Christ in our lives in order to do that. We need to come to Christ with full repentance, and like the Greek word said metanoe which means change of heart. when Christ gives us a change of heart and we turn from what ever sin we are fighting and allow Christ to change your ways their is nothing that He cant do and He will set you back on the right path. If we follow our own heart like the world suggest the problem is that our heart is deceitful without Christ. Ezekiel 36:26 “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
God calls Christians to deal with sexual desires, including good sexual desires, through either marital sexual expression or Spirit-enabled self-control.

when it comes to sexual sins Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 6:18 “Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.”
when it comes to sexual sins Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 6:18 “Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.”
what Paul is saying here is that he gives them a strategy for dealing with it: run. He tells them to flee from sexual immorality. Run away like you are escaping from something that might harm you, because it will. Even if the culture despises you for it, it's better to escape from sexual sin than to be conquered by it.
Paul shows that sexual immorality is different from other kinds of sin because it's a form of self-harm. We might commit other sins with our bodies, but sexual immorality unites us sinfully with another person. This happens on a deeply physical and spiritual level. We will experience the natural consequences of that sin at that deep level, as well.
But humans are not merely sexual beings, and their identity is not centered on their sexual expression. Moreover, their sexual desires this side of Genesis 3 are not inherently rightly-ordered. So the new-creation Christian joyfully lives in the freedom of Christ, led by the Spirit, pursuing the goodness of God’s design. This freedom and being led by the Spirit entails passionate pursuit of God’s good physical gifts and joy-preserving restraint from deviations from his created goodness.
Bottom line is we cannot do it allow. No matter what sin we are fighting if its our identity issues, sexual issues or any other sins without Christ we will continue to fail and eventually believe in the lie of the enemy that God made me this way so why would I change.
