As believers in God’s household we are to conduct ourselves as God has commanded us to in our individual households.

1. How we should conduct ourselves as married couples.
2. How we should conduct ourselves as children and parents.
3. How we should conduct ourselves as employers or employees.

INTRO:

Early on in my marriage I remember going on a date where we went kayaking in the river down the city. It was a beautiful day and the water was great. We were surrounded by the city skyline as the sun glissade off of the buildings. There were people on boats all around us have a great time on the water - and there was us… screaming and fighting splashing back and forth with our ors not going anywhere.…

How should we conduct ourselves as married couples according to God.

For the first time in history, western civilization is confronted wiht the need to define the meanon of the rems of Marriaf and family. What un itl now has neemn considered norma fmaiuly made up of a father mother and a number of childer has in recent years be come a one aof sevel otions .
Permanent, scared intimate mutual and exclusive. Our loyalty is to Christ and Marriage is just a shadow of the ultimiae marriage of Christ and His Birde. - the church.
Though we see thing and have been influanced by our experances and the world around us Gods plan is best and we must lear to adapt to it.

The Role of Wives

Wives are called to respect their husband and submit to his leading, trusting that he has your best interests at heart.

Submit is not a 4 letter word.
“to arrange under”
A good soldier loose there selfish agenda and fight for the good of the others.

This does not mean inferiority!

Genesis 1:27 “27 So God created man in his own image; he created him in the image of God; he created them male and female.”
Genesis 3:16 “16 He said to the woman: I will intensify your labor pains; you will bear children with painful effort. Your desire will be for your husband, yet he will rule over you.”
Not to every man
Wives as to the Lord
Do not obey your husband as you are his servent or maid.
But out of love.
Wives subit to oher becsue Christ is the athority over our lives.
Psalm 130:4 “4 But with you there is forgiveness, so that you may be revered.”

In Christ we are all equal.

Galatians 3:28 “28 There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male and female; since you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
In submission at home and authority at work
Kind Compassionate
Tender
Proverbs 31:10 “10 Who can find a wife of noble character? She is far more precious than jewels.”
Unbelieving Husbands
1 Peter 3:1–2 “1 In the same way, wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, even if some disobey the word, they may be won over without a word by the way their wives live 2 when they observe your pure, reverent lives.”
Teachers
Titus 2:3–5 “3 In the same way, older women are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not slaves to excessive drinking. They are to teach what is good, 4 so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands and to love their children, 5 to be self-controlled, pure, workers at home, kind, and in submission to their husbands, so that God’s word will not be slandered.”

Submission unto the Lord

Genesis 3:16 “16 He said to the woman: I will intensify your labor pains; you will bear children with painful effort. Your desire will be for your husband, yet he will rule over you.”
Its hare to surrender to the good of others if your commanding officer is only looking out for his good and not the good of others.

The Role of Husbands

Submit yourself to your wife in order to meet all her needs both physically and spiritually.

1 Peter 3:7 “7 Husbands, in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with a weaker partner, showing them honor as coheirs of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.”

Colossians 3:19 “19 Husbands, love your wives and don’t be bitter toward them.”

Training Young Men

Titus 2:2 “2 Older men are to be self-controlled, worthy of respect, sensible, and sound in faith, love, and endurance.”
Titus 2:6–7 “6 In the same way, encourage the young men to be self-controlled 7 in everything. Make yourself an example of good works with integrity and dignity in your teaching.”
1 Corinthians 7:5 “5 Do not deprive one another—except when you agree for a time, to devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again; otherwise, Satan may tempt you because of your lack of self-control.”
Pray. Love. Repeat.
The coming together of two rivers into one
At first it may look ugly as the current is disrupted wives are wild It becomes more powerful, more wide and deeper .
