Why I beleive in the inerrantcy of scripture

2 Peter 1:20–21 (KJV 1900)

Its gods word not just a mans word!

20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

#1) Jesus believed it and confirmed it:

John 17:16-21

16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Jesus said, gods word the bible is truth!

18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us:

that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

most did not know one another

Yet they correlate with one another OT and NT

like your fingers interweave with one another giving us Gods truth

Also many of the writer’s makes the statement that the words written are not his words but that he was compelled by God to write them.

#3) prophecy- 30% of the bible is prophecy with 100% accuracy

Isaiah 46: 9-10

9  Remember the former things of old:

For I am God, and there is none else;

I am God, and there is none like me,

10  Declaring the end from the beginning,

And from ancient times the things that are not yet done,

Saying, My counsel shall stand,

And I will do all my pleasure:

No other religious book Koran, Mormon, latter day saints, Krishna,

Nor any other has as much prophecy nor is as accurate

#4)Revelation - the whole book is prophecy and is filled with current events.

John is told to write to the 7 churches of Asia

of the things that thou hast seen

the things which are

the things which shall be hereafter

Falling away- apostacy of the church

wars and rumors of wars

Euphrates river drying up

False teachers and prophets

calling evil good and good evil

men speaking evil of dignities bible calls them natural brute beasts they count it pleasure to riot in the day time.

Thier heart they have excercised with covetous practices,following the way of balaam who loved the wages of unrighteousness.

They allure thru the lust of the flesh and much wantonness.

Rev. 4:1-5

1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, fa throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
