If you are visiting us / We Welcome you/ Te damos la bien benida
How many of you came for a word? ? /
Recap:
We have completed our 1st week of Fasting and Prayer. /
Last week looked a few benifits of Fasting! /
-One that got my attention, / (Restores our 1st Love with Christ).
Fasting has been diffuclt, / i have been tempted to eat, / I’ve been hungry,
But i havent felt this alive / in him in such a long time.
Im going to open it up,
Is there anyone who wants to share a 2 minute testimony, / on What fasting is doing for them?
Here are a few more golden Nuggets:
- Helps you gain self-control / in those areas you lost controll;
It also Reveals your true Spiritual condition,
Resulting in / Repentance,
and a transformed Life
and Activates your Relationship with the Lord
Fasting prepared Jesus for ministry and
- It will prepare you for ministry; and sharpen you.
Short Story
I have a few friends that i dont get to talk with much / do to the crazyness of Life.
- But they alway make a way, to call from time to time / once they reachout
im on it......
ill blow there phone up with word and encouragement.
It’s like the Lord, / he doesnt leave us, / we sometimes get caught up with the busyness of Life, and it may seem that he isnt there / but he will never leave us.
But THE MOMENT WE turn to him, / with all of our heart, and mind / he Lavishes us with his Love.
We want to challenge you, this year to dive deeper into the word God this year...
If we dont dig deep into the word, we can miss the times and the signs of the LORD.
THE WORD IS A MIRROR TO HOW WE ARE LIVING, WE MAY NOT BE DOING BAD THINGS,
BUT CAN IT BE, THAT WE LOST ARE 1ST LOVE??????
IT IS VITAL THAT WE DIVE DEEPER, not only into what sounds too the ear, but nowing more of the whole context of what we study in the word of God.
Scripture: Hosea 10:12 NIV
Lets Pray
Hosea 10:12 “Sow for yourselves righteousness;
reap steadfast love;
break up your fallow ground,
for it is the time to seek the Lord,
that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.” Amen
Point 1
Sow for yourselves rightousness/ That sounds easy right???
We can hear it, we may be encourged by it,
but when we walk into our reality,
that where the true challange comes.
What is the righouseness of the Lord?
Redemtion that is in Jesus Christ, Liberation from Sin through Christ,
Through his Salvation, Grace, Mercy, and Love....
It Goes on saying:
Reap steadfast Love: Yeah that sounds Exciting; I want the Lords (Love) That fills me with his Joy and Peace.
Then he say’s:
break up your fallow ground, BREAK UP YOUR HARDENED HEART;
For it is time to seek the Lord, (That sound good)
that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.”
Romans 1:17 “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.””
Romans 3:24 “and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,”
We have been Justified, Just as we have never sinned
Point 2 Dive deeper
Who was the Phropet Hosea was?
Lets look at the Hole context,
and the time frame he ministered.
- Hosea was a minor Phrophet; This did not mean he was insignifiant, he just had
Hosea name means Salvation, / Comes from the Hebrew root word means Joshua or Jesus.
His fathers name was berri/ and he named his son Hosea.
Hosea Heard the Word of the Lord and obayed the Lord.
Hosea ministry shows that salvation / was turning to the Lord, and away from sin.
He ministered from 760 to 720 Bc; He ministered for nearly 40 years
- He ministered during the time of the devided Monorky, of the divided kingdoms.
250 year time line had pasted after king David, 650 years they had been in the promise land.
Isreal split into 2 kingdoms, after Solomon
there was a civil war that brokeout.
There was the Northen nations was called Isreal which there capital was Samaria
The Southern Nation was Juda and Capital was Jerusulem
Hosea ministred to the Northern Kingdom of Isreal/ he was subjected to the Northern king Hosea 7:5 he calls the king Isreal, our king / not of Juda
Jarobom the 2 was king at that time/ The Son of
In this time, the land was in prosperity / He expanded the boards of Isreal /
Things were going good ecomnomically / brought political power to Isreal / Inflation was down
Jarobom was a wise good king but not Spiritualy and morely decay would catch generations after.
6 Kings after jarobom 4 were violentlhy over thrown 1 ruled on month
1 died in exile in assiria
People did not look to the Lord in the time of Hosea / things were so good......
Before the phropet could speak the nation, he has to hear from the Lord himself.....
Hosea 1:2–3 (NIV)
When the Lord began to speak through Hosea, the Lord said to him,
“Go, marry a promiscuous woman and have children with her, for like an adulterous wife this land is guilty of unfaithfulness to the Lord.”
So he married Gomer daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son.
What a picture the Lord paints, for his Relationship with his people was as of the Husband of Isreal.
Gods people worshiped Idols, with the Riches the Lord had blessed them / they brought the gold and silver different Gods, his people were as unfaith as an adulatar.....
When we give our lives to anything other than God, it hurts the Lord as an adolater wife who cheats on her spouse.
The land and his people became unfaithful, and the Lord was going to show Hosea through his wife how the he was going to avenage his people.
This was not going to be easy, because Gomer was not going to change, and would fall back into ways of prositution.
Hosea 1:3-4
3 So he married Gomer daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son.
4 Then the Lord said to Hosea, “Call him Jezreel, because I will soon punish the house of Jehu for the massacre at Jezreel,
Could you imange to give your child a name Like Jezzrell!!!!
Jezzrell means Scattered- Isreal would be scattered by the assirians on the house of Jahu
and I will put an end to the kingdom of Israel.
5 In that day I will break Israel’s bow in the Valley of Jezreel.”
Hosea 1 6
Gomer conceived again and gave birth to a daughter.
Then the Lord said to Hosea,
“Call her Lo-Ruhamah (which means “not loved”),
“Could you Imagain to be called Not Loved”.
for I will no longer show love to Israel, that I should at all forgive them.
7 Yet I will show love to Judah; and I will save them—not by bow, sword or battle, or by horses and horsemen, but I, the Lord their God, will save them.”
8 After she had weaned Lo-Ruhamah, Gomer had another son. 9 Then the Lord said, “Call him Lo-Ammi (which means “not my people”), for you are not my people, and I am not your God.
10 “Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted.
In the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ they will be called ‘children of the living God.’
11 The people of Judah and the people of Israel will come together; they will appoint one leader and will come up out of the land, for great will be the day of Jezreel
point 1 We must look deeper into the word
Point 2 We are come back to our 1st Love
Point 3 The Lord will call them children of the Living God
Hosea 10:12 “Sow for yourselves righteousness;
reap steadfast love;
break up your fallow ground,
for it is the time to seek the Lord,
that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.
If you
Romans 10:9 “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
