Are You tagging God In?

I know its corny, but I want to look at scripture to help us better understand a life where we don’t tap God in and a life where we do.
15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

You are like this bottle
Constantly walking through life being filled.
What you are filled with is determined by things like; your parents, your friends, the music you listen to, your interest.
You are going to see that what this bottle gets filled with has effects.
Just like what we allow to influence us has effects.

Represents peace that everyone desires

Paul tells us here that peace can only come from God, yet so many people search for it other avenues.

Represents what we allow to influence us

Paul tells us here that we need to dwell in the word of God letting its truth influence us,
But yet so many people allow music, friends, relationships, and the misleading voice of this world to influence them.

17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Paul tells us here that we are to only praise God, our heavenly father,
but yet so many people direct their praise to finite objects and beings that are not worthy of praise.

You being a good Christian and going to church, having the head knowledge of the bible stories, and maybe even thinking that you are saved.

You sit here in the motions of religion and then wonder why God is not working in your life.
