Who loves a good story?
Man, I love a good story! We come into contact with all kinds of stories - in books that we read, movies and tv shows that we watch, stories that our friends and family tell us, and more.
What I love about the Bible is that it’s full of amazing stories, and unlike some of the books we read and movies & shows we watch, these stories are true and they actually happened!

Today we looked at the story of Queen Esther.
King Ahasuerus chose Esther to be his queen out of many other women. God placed her in that position of authority for a reason.
Esther’s uncle Mordecai wouldn’t bow down to Haman, one of the king’s high-ranking officials.
Haman was filled with rage that Mordecai would not bow down to him. He then devised a plan to destroy all of the Jews… and guess who were Jews? Esther and Mordecai.
Later on, Esther threw two feasts for the King and Haman to get their bellies full and feeling good, and then she told the King about the awful plan that Haman had set, to kill all the Jews, Esther’s people.
The King asked who would devise such an evil plan, and Esther told him, it was Haman.
In the end, Haman ended up dying, and the Jews, Esther and Mordecai were saved.
Application
Application
God used Esther and Mordecai to save the Jews, God’s people.
Even when things seemed shaky, even when it seemed like Esther and Mordecai and all of their people might die, God was in control.
God was and is the unshakeable one. He had a plan all along, and His plan will never fail.
So what should we do if we are ever in a tough situation, where things feel shaky and out of control?
We can know that God is in control, and He is the one who writes our story. We can be secure knowing who our God is and what He has done. He keeps His promises, and He is always there with us.
Even when it seems like the story is over, even when it seems like things can’t get any better, even when it seems like everything is out of control, remember:
God writes your story. He is in control. And we can find our security in Him.
