1. Kingdom Death

2. Jesus Selects Passover

Putting story into it proper context
Vocational failure
Sin = refusal of humans to play part as divine image bearers
Death is the result of that choice \
Israel fits into this context too
Commits apostacy results predicted in Lev 26.1 and Deut 28 come to fruition

Sin is the result of idolatry and exile is the result

Ending exile will a forgiveness for sin and a new life since exile is a type of living death

Passover the time to celebrate liberation

This was a deliberate choice for confrontation w/ Jerusalem authorities
Jews celebrating Exodus from Egypt and looking for an even bigger repeat

God overthrowing the dark powers
Coming back in power and Glory to save people Is 52:7–12
Seen in parable of master return after years of exile
