Okay guys. We are going to start off with a game. Each of you will be put in pairs.
(Go one two one two one two)
(have each one person sit in a chair and each two stand behind them)
So, let me ask y’all a question. What does it mean to trust in something?
What is the opposite of trust?
What are some things that you can trust in?
Can you trust the partner behind you to do whatever it is im about to ask them to do?
place paper plate on each number one head and hand them a marker.
Now, the person behind you is going to draw with your hand on your head what I tell them to draw. And you that sit in the chair have to let them use your hand to do this! If you do not, then a point gets marked off from your name. You all get three strikes, there will be a few rounds, each one will get wilder. Oh yeah, and you each only have a minute to do this.
ready set go. Tell them to draw a fish.
have them switch places. have them draw a bird
Have the one drawing use their other hand. Have them draw a tree.
Have them switch again, have the one drawing close their eyes. Draw a house.
Last round, draw with their hand backwards. Draw a cross with flowers around it.
Now, did we all trust the one drawing?
So heres the deal, God is above all things. Its hard to trust God to handle a situation or to help us when we need help. Maybe your afraid of the dark and you need to trust God will protect you. Sometimes we just want to do things on our own. But God has a plan for you, and we need to trust in Him that he will guide and direct you. And wherever He may lead, it will be beautiful. But we need to trust in Him.
Proverbs 3:5–6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
SO this verse means what?
( break it down)
