Don't Worry; Be Happy (Matthew 6:25-34)

Why shouldn’t we be worry?

ပသ့ၣ်ညါပသးသမူအလုၢ်ပပှ့ၤ

Because God created us in his image

v25. Starts with “Therefore I tell you”

This indicates command

Don’t be anxious about your life: what you will eat, what you will drink

Don’t be anxious about your body: what you will wear.

Life more than food

Body more than clothing

we live in materialist world

eat and cloths

Foods and Cloths are the basic necessity for human beings.

Without foods, we will die

Without cloths, we will be naked.

However, life more than foods

This is reminding me of the Garden of Eden. God provided foods for Adam and Eve. They value foods more than their lives. They ended up eating the fruit

Body more than clothing

Our body is important. It is the temple of God(1 Corithians 3:16-17) and the holy spirit lives in it.

When they were naked God covered them up

ကစၢ်ယွၤ ဒုးထံၣ်ပှၤပလုၢ်ပပှ့ၤခီဖျိလၢအတၢ်အဲၣ် ဘၣ်ဆၣ်လၢအတၢ်အဲၣ်ပှၤအပူၤန့ၣ် မ့ၢ်ပာ်လုၢ်ပာ်ပှ့ၤလီၤပတၢ်အိၣ်မူစ့ၢ်ကီးဧါ?

ကစၢ်ယွၤတ့လီၤပှၤဒ်အက့ၢ်အ ဂီၤ, ဘၣ်ဆၣ် ပမ့ၢ်တထံၣ် ဒီး ဒုးကပီၤထီၣ်တၢ်လုၢ်တၢ်ပှ့ၤတဖၣ် အံၤဒီး တၢ်ဘၣ်ယိၣ်ဘၣ်ဘှီသ့ၣ်တဖၣ်ကအိၣ် ဒီးပှၤလီၤ.

​Illustration: I attended a funeral once, a friend of a person who diseased talked about him. He said, “the person was working very hard at church by cleaning. He often told the friend that no body would noticed how he do things… because what he does was so little.

It appears that the dease person does feel like he knows his worth, and it appears that he worried about it. Since he didn’t know his worth, he seems to worry. As for us who know our worth, we shouldn’t worry about it. WHich leads us to our second point! we shouldn’t worry because

2. ပသ့ၣ်ညါလၢအသ့ၣ်ညါပတၢ်လိၣ်ဘၣ် (He knows our need)

Vs 26-33

We serve one manster; we are the slave of this one master, we devote ourselves to him only (that’s why he knows our need)

Jesus gave two illustrations: the bird and the wildflowers

One of this is in the air

the other one is on the ground

A living thing that can move (bird)

A living thing that cannot move (plant)

Still God still provide for these two.

Bird don’t sow or reap yet the haeavenly father feed them

God cloths the grass of the field

this is also see as common Grace (what theologian called)

Believers or non-believers (get common grace)

all of us get our basic needs

Living in usa

Our needs might be different from the birds and the wildflowers

We have to pay phone bills, water bill, house, car,

However, God will provide for us.

Because he knows our needs

“I asked God for strengths, and he gave me difficulties to make me stronger; I asked for wisdom, and God gave me problems to solve; I wasked for courage, and God gave me danger to overcome; I asked for love, and God gave me troubled people to help.”

We might worry or have problems in our lives, and pray God to help us out… and often of the time our prayers might God like this. And it appears to us that God does not answer our prayers.

We shouldn’t worry about things, everyday we face problems, but there are good reasons why we have to face these kinds of things. It could be a good reason for us to have more faith in him, Good reason for us to get back closer to him.

As we are His children; He will disciple us and mold us.

Our Lord, Knows us. Most important of all. We shouldn’t worry Because

3. ပသ့ၣ်ညါလၢပသးသမူတအိၣ်လၢပစုပူၤ (we know that our lives isn’t in our hands)

vse 33-34

Seek first the kingdom of God and his rightiousness and all these tings will be provided for you.

When you have faith in Christ, when you summit yourselves to his Soverignty, you no longer will feel anxious

Your thoughts will be on the thing above

Your mind is will be on the one who can kill your soul and your body

we all know how the kingdom of God is like; There is no sorrow, no sin, no death- that’s why we seek his kingdom. and should seek his rightoueiousnes in Christ ( since we got nothing good in us and need to rely on his rightuoissn)

And we shouldn’t worry about tomorrow because our lives is in the Lord we serve

those who belong to him, will have eternal life
