Provisions Of God’s Promise

Genesis 15:6-7

The Abrahamic Covenant is still in effect.

1) Catholics has not replaced the Jew.

2) Charismatics has not replaced the Jew.

3) Calvinists has not replaced the Jew.

4) Campbellites has not replaced the Jew.

In Genesis 15:6-7 we see a glorious picture of God's great salvation.

These are the PROVISIONS of God in His gift of eternal life:

I. We See A Transaction. v.6a

And he believed in the LORD;

“believed” - Romans 4:3.

II. We See A Transgressor. v.6b

and he counted it to him for righteousness.

KJV Built in dictionary:

“counted” Romans 4:3 - “accounted” Galatians3:6 - “imputed” James 2:23.

III. We See A Transformation. v.7a

And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees,

“I am the LORD that brought thee out” occurs 1 time.

“brought thee out” occurs 9 times, 8 of which refers to Egypt.

IV. We See A Treasure. v.7b

to give thee this land to inherit it.
