Rise Up!
Rise Up!
We are in the fight of our lives and many people have their heads in the sand.
This isn’t going to be a normal 4th Day talk. This what Holy Spirit put on my heart to share this evening.
Matthew 24:42–43 “Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.”
If someone was breaking into your house you would do whatever it takes to keep them out. You would call the police. You would grab something to defend yourself.
If someone was attacking your family or friends, there would be no stopping you from going after them. You would defend them relentlessly with all you had.
And yet…this is exactly what is happening!
The Devil and his demons are attacking your children, marriages, churches and friends. He’s trying to destroy your calling and keep you from your purpose. He’s coming at you with all he’s got.
As the darkness of this world increases, the boldness of the enemy is increasing as well. Evil is called good openly. What used to be done in secret is now done for all to see and applauded by most.
Where is the church?
Where is the army of the Lord?
Where are His warriors who carry His authority?!
You won’t fight if you don’t think there is a threat.
You won’t fight what you would rather pet.
You won’t fight if instead you’ve slept.
Threat- Most of the church is oblivious to the reality of where things are. Many have no clue that Jesus is standing at the door ready to come and yet the church is trying it’s hardest to look just like the world.
Pet- If you want to fight, you can’t just give lip service. You will have to resist the temptations. You will have to learn to change to channel or turn off the tv. The Devil has pacified us with pleasure. the Army of Christ has been getting us to embrace our sin and chase our pleasures. We will binge watch hours and hours of Netflix, but we say we don’t have time to get in the Word or pray. You cannot cast demons out of you that you are still playing with!
Slept- The church has to awaken from it’s slumber.. The hour is late. Romans 13:11–14 “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.”
We must awaken so that we can resist the comforts of our flesh in order to walk in the power of the Spirit!
Time is slipping through our fingers. This is our moment! This is the time we must take a stand. The Watchman have to sound the trumpet to awaken the Remnant!
Joel 2:1 “Blow the trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; For the day of the Lord is coming, For it is at hand:”
But the trumpet isn’t sounding in many places. Many pastors and Christians are asleep at the wheel. They just go about their day in a daze unaware that the enemy is plundering the goods of their life and the lives of those they care about!
1 Corinthians 14:8 “For if the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will prepare for battle?”
Jeremiah 6:16–17 “Thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ Also, I set watchmen over you, saying, ‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’ But they said, ‘We will not listen.’”
Jeremiah 4:5 “Declare in Judah and proclaim in Jerusalem, and say: “Blow the trumpet in the land; Cry, ‘Gather together,’ And say, ‘Assemble yourselves, And let us go into the fortified cities.’”
It’s time to take the fight to the enemy! Stop focusing on how hard it is. Stop focusing on your pain! Stop focusing on what you would rather do or what you want. Hear the call of the shofar tonight and allow the Spirit to awaken you the moment of glory that is coming!
Shofar- Broken yet beautiful.
Isaiah 58:1 ““Cry aloud, spare not; Lift up your voice like a trumpet;
You are the Lord’s shofar
Isaiah 60:1–3 “Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.”
Arise in this moment to fulfill the purpose that you were created for! Don’t focus on the darkness…focus on the light! Let His light shine in you and through you!
