Receiving with Open Hands
Receiving with Open Hands
Every good thing comes from God - James 1:17
17 Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.
God is in the business of doing immeasurably more than we think He can - Ephesians 3:20-21
20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. 21 Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
Everything comes from God - Romans 11:36
Deuteronomy 10:14-17
14 “Look, the highest heavens and the earth and everything in it all belong to the Lord your God. 15 Yet the Lord chose your ancestors as the objects of his love. And he chose you, their descendants, above all other nations, as is evident today. 16 Therefore, change your hearts and stop being stubborn.
17 “For the Lord your God is the God of gods and Lord of lords. He is the great God, the mighty and awesome God, who shows no partiality and cannot be bribed.
36 For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen.
We accept/receive knowing that God supplied it all - He supplies ALL our needs - Philippians 4:19
19 And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
We are NOT to worry about how/what God will supply tomorrow - Matthew 6:34
34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.
Worrying about tomorrow robs our JOY of what God us doing NOW.
This is where FAITH comes in. Without FAITH it is impossible to please God - Hebrews 11:6
6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
