Things to look for in a prophetic word:

Does the word align with Scripture?

Does the word display the character of Christ?

What is the fruit in the life of the person giving the prophecy? (Luke 6:43-45)

What is the Holy Spirit giving you by way of an inward witness?

Is the word from God?
