Pure In Heart

Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

To begin with brothers and sisters We are a blessed people. The good Lord has blessed He woke us up this morning, started us on our way, enclosed us in our right mind gave us a reasonable portion of health and strength. Put Praise on my lips, clapping in my hands and joy deep down in my soul. And Lord I just want to say Thank you.

Thank you Jesus that my bed wasn’t my cooling board and my covers wasn’t no winding sheet. Thank you Jesus that my eyes opened up to a brand new day a day I’ve never seen before and a day I shall never see again.

Tell your neighbor: I’m blessed.

And then Jesus says in His sermon on the mount. In Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the Pure in Heart for they shall see God.

I’ve discovered that in order to be in good graces with God (Your heart got to be righteous). Nobody is perfect but you ought try to have a good heart towards your fellowman.

Dr. Isaac Greggs the former S.U. band director that made the Human Juke Box internationally renown, had a long talk with me when I first started preaching and he quoted from a book he was reading ( Allen no man is an island entirely of himself we are all a part of the mainland. So in your quest to be a great leader remember to include other people, Involve other people and empower other people. I said Doc you missed your calling… You was supposed to be a preacher…hush sh sh sh don’t tell nobody..

And I realize now what he was teaching me some 34 years ago…You never know whose going to be a permanent influence on your life. you never know children...

The word Heart ?

In [Middle English they pronounced the word heart (hert).

In Old English they pronounced heart (heorte;). and akin to that in Old High German they pronounced heart (herza) heart, In Latin they pronounced it (cord-, cor,) then in the Greek vernacular they pronounced heart (Kardia) before 12th century

Alright Alright Alright Alright So we know the ancient pronunciation of the word heart.

But tell me what is a heart since the scriptrues say Blessed are the Pure in heart for they shall see God?

A Physical Heart is 1. a hollow muscular organ associated with vertebrate animals that by its rhythmic contraction acts as a force pump maintaining the circulation of the blood. In layman terms Your Heart is the chief organ in your body that pump blood throughout your body.Without it you and I can’t live.

Next month is Valentine”s Day a day for lovers.On TV I know the BRG for sure advertise the symbol of the Heart. My Godchild from MT Zion sent me some hearts and the Heart Sign saying parrain please take care of yourself. All of my children checked on me and said Daddy I love you.So many of the church membership checked on me and wanted to know current minute by minute news and First Lady Cheryl Allen was talking to them all. My nurse whose name was Abbie took take of me all day. She gave me some medicine that made me be out of my mind they said I was talking out of my head.

Dr Lamonte came in shortly there after. and Next thing I know they were pushing me down a long hallway. They slid me on the operating table, and gave me more meds and I was out. Dr Lamonte came back to my room and said Rev NO BLOCKAGES NO WHERE YOU CAN PREACH SUNDAY. Then he turned to my wife and said Mrs. Allen make him take it easy for a few days. Then I went back to sleep and then they woke me up a few hours later and I went home.

And so I’ve heard all my life THAT HE’S A HEART FIXER AND A MIND REGULATOR. Now I know it for myself.

Matthew 5:8 says Blessed are the Pure in Heart for they shall see God.

1. Jesus is not talking about no Ace of Hearts in no card game.In other words some people playing cards and gambling trying to get their break through, but it ain’t going if you’re God’s child.Because playing cards is about tricks and traps, and Jesus is about Grace and Mercy.

2. Pure in Heart is not talking about a cold hearted person. And listen Playing the old marching band tune cold hearted snake to rall up the crowd is one thing but living like a cold hearted snake is a totally different ball game. Yes sir 3x. I don’t want to be around no snake

Well brothers and sisters there are a plethora of approaches that one can take concerning the Heart.1. we told you about creating gimmicks and trick through card games then 2. we told you about your personal disposition and that Jesus doesn’t want us to be a cold hearted snake!

And so having said thus “what exactly does Jesus want us to be like”? I’m glad you asked, Christian Heart-ed people are not supposed to be cruel, calculated, and cold hearted.. Instead Christian Heart-ed People are supposed to be loving, caring, and full of compassion. Christian Heart-ed people are supposed to be intellectually astute concerning affection. What does intellectually astute concerning affection mean? That means girls and boy ladies and gentlemen when you bring A girl or a guy home to meet mama and daddy, if mama and daddy shakes their head and say that ain’t the one! Trust me they know. True story My Grandfather on his dying bed said take Cheryl and marry her she’ll make you a good wife. He said that’s enough of you running them streets. You need real Love in your life. I think I did pretty good. Amen

Then I found further research that suggest that a Leader’s Heart must be filled with compassion and have a generous disposition, He ought to have meekness but not weakness and he ought to show spiritual discernment with wisdom, knowledge, and the understanding of what the will of God is for the congregation.

Listen brothers and sisters True Love exhibits the courage to face difficult time. And you’ve heard me say a thousand times “We can do all things through Christ that strengthens us. Come on say Amen

You got to believe that God is able to see the church through.

Also Pure in Heart has to do with never losing Faith in God. When I was in that operating room and I had a little talk with God I said like Hezekiah, “Lord I’ve done what you told me to do so Nah Lord now now now Lord Please sir to have mercy because I’ll never preach again if you take me to heaven now. The Spirit said calm your nerves and remember what God said to Joshua I’ll never leave you nor will I ever forsake you.

And the message that I give you from that encounter with the Lord〈never lost heart〉!!! Tell your neighbor : Never Lose Heart.

True story a great America swimmer wanted to swim the English channel. She started out, she swam and swam but the fog was so thick until she had lost distance and direction from the European coastline. and as a result she gave up, and climbed in the boat that was trailing her. To her surprise, the shoreline was only a few miles away. She gave up before the finish. And years later she set out to swim the English Channel again. This time even though the fog was just as thick and even though she was older now, Historians say she kept swimming until she reach to European shoreline. Thus Gertrude Ederle became the first woman to actually swim the English channel two hours faster than any man.

She had Heart!!! I’m going to teach you my slogan “You might beat me but you can never beat my heart”. I’d rather go in battle with somebody with a courageous heart than a coward heart.

I ain’t mad with you if you got heart even if we don’t see eye to eye. Jesus said Only the Pure in Heart shall see God. Because when you study and research the heart you’ll find that the heart deals the central innermost part of a person. Your heart deals with your innermost character, feelings, and inclinations. That why when people want to know how you really feel they say “What does your heart of hearts say?” And David said Lord I hid your word in my heart that I might not sin against thee. Because once I’ve got God’s word in My Heart then I can follow His way and when I follow His way I’ll be sure to do His will. And lastly his works will manifest in the lives of His people. And the church said Amen.

And Jesus said Blessed are the Pure in Heart for they shall see God and what deeply concerns me is that Many of us need HEARTEN WHICH MEANS TO FIX IN THE HEART. YEAH 3X.) Let take a Rose as beautiful as it looks, a Rose can have a rotten core. And it smells terrible.. And what God does, is He’s a HEARTEN meaning God can fixes your Heart all the way down to the core of your heart.

In Ezekiel God said I’ll take out that stony heart and give you a heart of flesh that you’ll be able to love with Godly Compassion.

Listen to the theme text Blessed are the Pure in Heart for they shall see God.. And so what if you have a Heart Attack and your business isn’t right. What if your relationship with Jesus Christ isn’t right? Because you’ve gone way pass a heart blockage where one of the blood vessels are blocked up, and you’ve gone way pass a heart-ache where somebody got you so sorrowful until it’s a heart ache. and you’ve gone way past Heart Burn where it’s a burning discomfort behind the lower part of the sternum due especially to spasmodic reflux of acid from the stomach into the esophagus. When you eat too much hot and spicy food that’s what happens Oh

But when you have a heart attack. A heart attack is an acute episode of heart disease marked by the death or damage of heart muscle due to insufficient blood supply to the heart. If your heart stop beating you aren’t going to live much longer than that.

And so knowing that I knew that I must teach the congregation that Our heart have to be right with God.

And I’ve taught this church that Regeneration is a Change of Heart. And for my youth population remember that Regeneration is a Change of Heart. And that’s when you give your heart to Jesus and he comes in and secretly change your old bad ways, into good decent and holy ways of living.

And lastly God knows our heart…He said in Jeremiah 17: 9-10 who can know the heart but me. I the Lord try the Heart I try the reins of the heart I know whether you’re good or whether you’re bad.

And the formal definition of somebody that knows your heart is a Kardiognostes… Ain’t nothing wrong with the heart doctor.. don’t get me wrong but Thursday evening I called on the Kardiognostes the Doctor above all Doctors I called on Dr. Jesus I called on Jehovah Rapha The God that heals and He healed my body.

I know I’m right about it because The first time they saw a blockage. But the after I had a talk with Dr. Jesus the Kardiognostes He fixed it and Dr. Lamonte came backs and said Rev. You don’t have any blockages and you have a clean bill of health. Hallelujah!!!

And then I said God set-up a Pretermission just for me. Pretermission means that God exempt me from the trouble I was about to face. Heart trouble ain’t joke!!! I’m closing Jesus a Heart fixer and He’s a mind regulator. Well I’m through were you blessed by the message.
