There are three things in life I’m sure about....
READ (1 Peter 3:1-7)
“Submission” - Same word used in 2:18 for “slaves.”
Contrary to modern opinion, the Bible does not limit women to experience the fullness of God’s kingdom.
Submission does not limit ones freedom. Instead, Godly submission places a life under God’s authority.

Wives have a choice in submission.
God gives equally to all men and women.
Not passive.
“They may be won over.”
Exemplify Christ’s character and serve as witnesses.
To be submissive means to willing submit to your husbands leadership, even when he doesn’t deserve it.
Go can transform a life through Godly examples.
In the Roman Empire, female extravagance reached an alarming pace.
Outward beauty alone can give a false impression of what someone is like on the inside.
“imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit.”
The heart is what matters to God.
Gentleness is same as meekness.
You cannot overvalue the importance of a Godly woman.
Women are often prone to undervalue their self-worth.
A Godly wife can transform culture.

In the ancient world, Sarah built up Abraham instead of tearing him down, even when he was a poor leader.
“Lord” (kyrios) sir, Gen. 18.12.
“intimidation” Don’t fear doing right in the presence of an unbelieving husband.
God can provide a quiet confidence.

A wife’s dedication to Gods authority is brave and noble.

Peter clearly states that a husband is not to misuse his authority.
When the authority loses sight, everyone else will suffer.
Spend time, listen, know her needs, and grow to understand.
Peter is brief but forcible.
A husband who lives this way will greatly enrich his marriage.
Wives are equal in spiritual privilege and eternal importance.
3 weddings over the past three weekends… Who you choose to marry matters.
Men don’t lord, they lead.
