PSALM 100

1 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the lands!

2 Serve the Lord with gladness!

Come into his presence with singing!

GOD HAS PLANNED NO DEFEATS, GOD HAS NEVER BEEN DEFEAT, … THE BIBLE SAYS HE HAS DESTROYED THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL. 1JN 3.8

AND HE HAS CLOTHED US IN RIGHTEOUSNESS...

So thankful God has taken all the assumptions out and guess work out of navigating this life and being pleasing to Him in working out our salvation as His instrument, His vessel, His servant, created in His own image…

If we are to overcome the distress of this life...

If we want to overcome the onslaughts of the enemy...

The trials!

God said ask and you will receive… MATT 7.8

and so through the life and writings of the Apostle Peter we are taught… “GIRD UP THE LOINS OF YOUR MIND.”

1 Peter 1:13

We have read we have studied the Living Word of God ...

The Apostle Paul wrote the book of Ephesians chained to a Roman soldier.

The first piece of armor a Roman soldier puts on as he prepares for battle is his belt...

why?

because the belt tied around the soldiers waste, gathered the short tunic he wore, it kept the breast plate in it’s place...

AND the belt also held the Sword in its place!

Without the belt the soldier was loose and weak. His loins enable him to fasten his armor close to him whereby he was strengthened,

and he was better able to fight!

PETER SAID,” GIRD UP THE LOINS OF YOUR MIND.”

TIGHTEN THEM UP!

GIRD THEM UP!

When the Roman soldier put the belt on it indicated he was ready for the battle…

He never tightened it up until it was time to fight!

WE NEED TO GIRD UP THE LOINS OF OUR MIND BECAUSE ITS TIME TO FIGHT!

When he loosened it up and he slackened it, it ment he was going off of duty…

The loins refer to the chief seat of bodily strength.

the body is knit to the loins

if the loins fail, the whole body fails

The loins we are to gird up, to strengthen, to get ready for battle are the loins of our:

HEART

OUR MIND

OUR INNER MOST BEING

GIRD’M UP! TIGHTEN THEM UP!

TAKE CONTROL OVER EVERY THOUGHT!

BRING IT INTO CAPTIVITY!

GIRD YOUR LOINS!, GIRD YOUR LOINS!

… … ...

GET IT READY FOR BATTLE!

… … …

Our hearts and our minds our inner man, our inner being.

It’s there where the acting ruling part of us really resides…

its the center of our existence.

its where all the issues of life flow out of.

its the battle field...

Its where our thoughts, our emotions, our wills, our desires, our understanding, our reasoning power, our intentions are…

PROVERBS 23:7 “AS A MAN THINKETH IN HIS HEART SO IS HE!”

BUT WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST.”

Not a old nature...but a new nature a new man

not the old man made over...

the old man is crucified …

and a new man takes his place…

not the old mind… the word renewed means: renovate - you get it all out, you clean it out all the junk comes out!

AND now you have a new mind! THE MIND OF CHRIST!

AND WITH THE MIND OF CHRIST I CAN HAVE A 100% PURE, 100% CLEAN, 100% VICTORIOUS, 100% STRONG ! HEALTHY ! MIND !

WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST THE MESSIAH AND DO HOLD THE THOUGHTS THE FEELINGS THE PURPOSES OF HIS HEART…
