Review: 4 Points

1. God calls and enables His children to be a witness for Him!

2. The believer’s role in witnessing for Christ!

Verse 19: We must respond obediently to God’s call.

3. What the message is:

Verse 20: We preach/tell people that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.

* The main reason Paul was in prison was the resurrection of Christ!

4. The goal of Evangelism/witnessing:

Verse 18a: Their eyes are opened; they turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God (people are saved!)

Today the conclusion verses 24-32

1. We can not control how non-believers will react to the Gospel of our resurrected Savior Jesus Christ!

Verse 24

Festus was a Roman Governor who had zero knowledge of the Jewish people and the teachings of the prophets and Kings. Moses, Aaron, Joshua, Joseph, King David ect.

Festus yelled at Paul and told him he was insane! All of your study and knowledge has lead you to believe that this Jesus rose from the dead..... that was what he was implying

2. Paul gives us an example of how we should respond in Verse 25-27

a. Speak the words of Truth! b. with reason (verse 25)

*Paul explains to Festus that his course of discussion was directed at King Agrippa, because he knew that Paul was speaking the truth. He was direct and was respectful! (even after being called Insane/Mad)

In verse 27 we see the example of using reason with those we are witnessing to!

3. Convection is of the Lord!

Verse 28 King Agrippa under convection!

4. Our desire should be that all would come to saving faith in Christ!

Verse 29

5. The lost, Festus and King Agrippa and His sister Bernice, will never understand us! What we do, what we say, how we act!

Remember Acts 23:11 Jesus had Paul exactly were He wanted him! And Paul was obedient. Jesus gave Paul an all paid for trip to Rome! More evangelizing and preaching to be done! All while under arrest......our circumstances do not limit us, WHEN WE ARE IN HIS WILL! The lost laugh and mock us!
