THIS WEEK WE ENJOYED WINTER WEATHER AND SNOW TO COVER THE GROUND AND MAKE THINGS PURE AND WHITE.

SNOW A symbol of purity in scripture. Also used to describe the color of leprous skin.

King James Version Psalm 51

7  Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean:

Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

EXODUS (Chapter 4) describing leprosy - showing Moses how the Lord would work through him.

6 And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow. 7 And he said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.

I HOPE THE SNOW CAUSED US TO THINK OF IT AS THE SYMBOL OF PURITY AND AN EXAMPLE OF HOW THE SALVATION OF THE LORD IS LIKENED TO OUR HEARTS BEING WASHED WHITE AS SNOW LIKE ISAIAH 1:8 SCARLET NOW WHITE AS SNOW.

ALSO HEAVENLY GLORY IS OFTEN LIKENED TO THE WHITENESS OF SNOW.

MATTHEW (Chapter 28)

28 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

THE BRIGHTNESS OF SNOW COMES FROM REFLECTING THE LIGHT AROUND IT - IF ARE HEARTS ARE WHITE AS SNOW THEN THE LIGHT OF GOD CAN BRIGHTEN THE DARK WORLD AROUND US LIKE JESUS.

REVELATION(Chapter 1)

12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; 13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and ggirt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. HOW BEAUTIFUL A PICTURE FOR THE CHRISTIAN - PURE SON OF GOD BEING THE FIRST AND LAST AND IS ALIVE FOREVER MORE.

SO WHEN WE SEE A FRESH BLANKET OF SNOW - ALLOW IT TO REMIND US OF THE SYMBOL OF PURITY AND AS PSALMS SAYS CAUSE US TO SAY - PRAISE YE THE LORD!
