Ephesians 3:20–21 KJV 1900
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

I. God is able!

A. He is able to deliver!

1. The 3 Hebrew boys faced a fiery furnace because they would not bow down to a false god.

2. They were brought before the King Nebuchadnezzar and the king said I’ll give you one more chance.

i. These guys didn’t hesitate to answer the king because they knew that God is able!

Daniel 3:17 KJV 1900
17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

3. King Darius was conned into signing a decree that said the only one to be prayed to was King Darius. If caught they would be thrown into the Lion’s den.

4. King Darius asked a question to Daniel the next morning:

Daniel 6:20 KJV 1900
20 And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?

i. Is thy God able?!

Daniel 6:21–22 KJV 1900
21 Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever. 22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

B. God is able to save!

Hebrews 7:25 KJV 1900
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

1. If you fall away from God He is able to let you back into the family!

Romans 11:21–23 KJV 1900
21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. 23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.

2. He is able to give you an inheritance among the sanctified and to build you up/raise you up!

3. When you fall God is able to make you stand!

Romans 14:4 KJV 1900
4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

i. God is able to make all grace abound toward you!

2 Corinthians 9:8 KJV 1900
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
a. This tells me that God doesn’t want to see ANY of His people fail!
b. He’ll provide the strength you need to make it!

II. How is He able to do these things?

A.Through His Spirit!

Galatians 5:16 KJV 1900
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

B. How do we start walking in the spirit?

1. By being born of the Spirit.
John 3:5–6 KJV 1900
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

C. You are going to find that God is always there no matter what your situation may be.

1. The 3 Hebrews:

Daniel 3:24–25 KJV 1900
24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellers, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. 25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

2. Daniel also had company:

Daniel 6:22 KJV 1900
22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

3. God can turn the things that were meant to hurt you on themselves.

i. For the 3 Hebrews the men who cast them into the fire were immediately destroyed.

ii. For Daniel, after the king pulled him out those who had conspired were thrown in.

iii. Vengeance is God’s!

Romans 12:19 KJV 1900
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

D. He can do Exceeding, Abundantly, Above what we can ask or think!

Ephesians 3:20–21 KJV 1900
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

1. This is all for His glory!
