A great passage on marriage, but I would say the larger context has to do with our identity as believers, whether married or single, we are made in the image of God, we are made alive together with Christ through His death and resurrection. This passage today is not a pressure to be married, even Paul stressed in 1 Cor. 7 not to rush into marriage, it is rather our identity is in Christ and we strive to glorify Christ in our marriage, in the way in which we raise our kids, in how we relate to our neighbors. The major point that Paul expressed is how in marriage husband and wife become one and how it is an example of the gospel, the union of Christ with His church

The problem is when marriage is not held in honor. When husband and wife no longer see the God given grace of marriage. When the allow lust for others to enter the relationship or when they abandon their God given roles. The writer of Hebrews wrote in Hebrews 13:4 -
Hebrews 13:4 ESV
4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
