I would like for us to jump into this subject tonight by reading one verse and then we will pray.
Would you turn your Bibles with me to Exodus 28.
In this chapter, we enter into a section of Scripture where the Lord delivered the children of Israel from Egyptian captivity. He is now teaching His people and through the directing of Moses, preparing the people to build that Tabernacle, all the furniture for the Tabernacle along with the priests garments.
This tabernacle would be
And it is with this background that we read verse 3 of this chapter.
Exodus 28:3 “3 And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.”
Seven times in the Word of God, we discover this phrase.
It is first discovered in Exodus 28. It is mentioned again in Exodus 31:6 and then in chapter 35 and 36.
In these chapters what is described is the building of the Tabernacle and the fashioning of the priests garments.
What Has the Lord Given?
The Lord has given us time.
The Lord has given us talents.
The Lord has given us treasures.
What Is the Lord Doing?
The Lord has given us direction.
In chapters 25-31, the nation of Israel was to follow to the ‘t’ all of the instructions that God gave to Moses.
When you go through these chapters we realize that God gave very specific details to Moses concerning the Tabernacle. This Tabernacle we discover was after the pattern of a heavenly reality.
The Lord has given us demonstrations.
The Lord has given us a destination.
