Mark 1
Mark 1
(The) Beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ [(the) Son of God].
Just as it is written in Isaiah the prophet, “Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way” (Mal. 3:1).
A voice, calling out in the wilderness, “Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight (or, direct/immediately)” (Isaiah 40:3).
John the Baptist was there in the wilderness and he was proclaiming a baptism of remorse for the freeing from mistakes.
And went out towards him all of the region of Judea and all the Jerusalemites, and they were baptised by him in the river Jordan affirming their mistakes.
And John was clothed with camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist and he was eating locusts and wild honey.
And he was proclaiming, saying, “the one coming after me is stronger (verb is comparative?) than me, of who (genitive), to bend down and untie (imperative) the strap of his sandles I am not worthy.”
I baptise you (plural) with water, but he will baptise you in the Holy Spirit.
And it was in there those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptised into the Jordan by John.
And at once he came out from the water, he saw the heavens split open and the spirit like a dove coming down to him.
And a voice came from the heavens, “You are my son the beloved, in you I take delight (think good).”
12. And at once the spirit drove him into the wilderness.
13. And he was in the wilderness forty days tested by the tester, and he was with the wild animals, and the angels served him.
14. Now, after John was handed over, Jesus came to Gaililee proclaiming the good news of God.
15. And he was saying that the time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God has drawn near. Repent and believe in the good news.
16. And he passed by the lake of Galilee he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon, casting into the sea, for they were fishers.
17. And Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you to be fishers of humans.”
18. And at once they left the nets and followed him.
19. And he went forward a little and saw James the of Zebedee and John his brother and they were in the boat repearing the nets.
20. And immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men (and) they went away after him.
