INTRODUCTION

Good morning church it is so good to see everyone here this morning. If this is your first time here, welcome home we would love to catch up with you after the service.
The theme of the year is ACTIVATED (cue the promotional video)

Building Faith in the room

2023 was the year of equipping.
We are now in the year of being Activated.
God is sending his church to be his feet and hands.
WE PROPHECY THAT IN 2024 EVERY SPACE THAT WE STEP INTO WILL BE SATURATED WITH THE PRESENCE OF GOD.

PRAYER

Holy Spirit, we recognise your presence in this house. May the wind of your spirit blow over your people this morning.
Lord, may you open-up the hearts of your people to receive from you.
We hunger for the manifested presence of God in this room to transform and renew lives.
In Jesus Name Amen.

BODY

Church, we know that we have been called to be activated and sent to do the work of the ministry.
But in reality, there are seasons in life where we feel Doubt, Fear and Regret.
But this morning I believe God is releasing his Spirit to breath upon you to lift you from Doubt to Destiny, from Fear to Faith, from Regret to Redemption
Today we are going to look at 3 people in the Bible that were in a season of doubt, regret and fear. But from one touch of the Spirit of God we Activated into their purpose again.

Person One - Peter

Peter lived and witnessed Jesus’s Ministry but yet still doubted knowing him.
We know the story where Jesus told Peter that before the rooster crows he would doubt him 3 times. Peter denied this but when the time came he did end up doubting God.
There are seasons in the life church. We are similar to Peter here.
We are a part of a move of God where we see him move powerfully.
Then we get the ‘Monday blues’ or ‘post conference feels’ The enemy sows seeds of doubt in our heart.
Peter was back doing what Jesus had called him out of.
BUT THE STORY DOES NOT END THERE
The word that God spoke over your life will not return void
John 21:15–18 NKJV
15 So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.” 16 He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Tend My sheep.” 17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep. 18 Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.”
Jesus said, “Feed my sheep
Notice that Jesus asked peter the same question 3 times
Jesus didn't do this to ‘Get Back At” Peter
But he wanted to restore was lost to Peter
God wants to restore every doubt and lie that was spoken over you this morning.
Peter was Released from Doubt to Destiny.
Person Two - Elijah
The story of the Mount Carmel Victory
Elijah challenges the priests of Baal
God triumphantly overcomes the false idol of Baal
Jezebel isn't happy about what took place and threatens Elijah's life.
Elijah is gripped with fear and flees to mount sinai.
1 Kings 19:11–18 NKJV
11 Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; 12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. 13 So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” 14 And he said, “I have been very zealous for the Lord God of hosts; because the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life.” 15 Then the Lord said to him: “Go, return on your way to the Wilderness of Damascus; and when you arrive, anoint Hazael as king over Syria. 16 Also you shall anoint Jehu the son of Nimshi as king over Israel. And Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel Meholah you shall anoint as prophet in your place. 17 It shall be that whoever escapes the sword of Hazael, Jehu will kill; and whoever escapes the sword of Jehu, Elisha will kill. 18 Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.”
I don't know what Jezebel shouted and boasted over your life
But what I do know is in the midst of chaos a whisper from God can break the lies from the enemy
Elijah turns from Fear to Faith
Today we are giving an eviction notice to every Jezebel Spirit that wants to boast over our lives.
Because where the spirit of the lord is there is freedom

Person Three - Samuel

Samuel Mourned the disappointment of Saul
The story of Saul
Maybe we are like Samuel here where we have stepped out before and it didn't really work out and we are filled with regret.
1 Samuel 16:1 NKJV
Now the Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons.”
The Lord lifts Samuel from his regret to redemption
God was not yet finished with Samuel
And sometimes we feel like God is finished with us we failed him
But no God wants to speak into your regret and release redemption
God is not yet finished with you church
It is time to fill your horn again
There are more Davids to anoint. There are more assignments that God wants to partner with you to see his Kingdom invade earth.
In the book of Joel
The israelites were in a season of Doubt Fear and Regret
Chapter 1 tell us of all the things they were going through
Locusts invaded them
The land was in despair
But the Lord sends his promises to restore everything that was taken from
Then he Promises that his spirit will be poured out
Joel 2:28–29 NKJV
28 “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. 29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
INVITE THE WORSHIP TEAM UP
Now we turn to Acts Chapter 2
Where the disciples are gathered in a upper-room
Can you picture the thoughts some of them might have had waiting on what Jesu had Promised them
Acts 2:2–21 NKJV
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 5 And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. 6 And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. 7 Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? 8 And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born? 9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, 11 Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.” 12 So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?” 13 Others mocking said, “They are full of new wine.” 14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. 15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. 16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. 18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. 21 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’
BUT THEN SUDDENLY
Peter is steps out of Doubt and into Destiny and preaches to a multitude of people
The disciples are activated into the call of God over their lives
Peter is walking in the streets and as his shadow hits the sick they are healed
Stephen has the boldness to step into the temple and preach the message of Jesus and upsets ever pharisee in the room
Saul is taken from persecuting the christian faith to preaching the message of God across the world
Doubt, Fear and Regret is turned into Destiny, Faith and Redemption
