Easy believism

Easy believism nly needs to believe in Jesus in order to be saved.
They say that those who hold to faith alone believe do not believe there is any corresponding need for a committed life of Christian discipleship as proof of salvation
This is not wast sola fide( faith alone) means. True faith in Christ will always lead to a changed life
This term is also used in regards to those who believe they’re are saved because they prayed a prayer_with no real conviction of sin and no real faith in Christ.
Praying is easy but there is more to salvation than just saying words
Scripture is clear salvation is by grace alone through faith alone
Ephesians 2:8–9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
We see faith given by God, as a gift is what saves us
This is the results of salvation Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
So our salvation is instead of being saved by some easy act on our part of our own will, we were saved by God, by His will, for His use.
So at the time of salvation we are set on a path of preordained works that are the evidence of that salvation. If there is no evidence then we have reason to doubt that salvation took place. James 2:20 says faith without works is dead.
we might say that some are called to more works than others and some may follow a life of discipleship while others don’t.
This is what most call a carnal christian, to which I say there is no such. They say a person can have a religious experience but never show evidence of a changed life. This is false and dangerous in that it excuses lifestyles. Men can live unrepented lives be adulterers, liars, thieves and he’s saved because he says he believes in God or he prayed a prayer at one point in his life.
Again we are saved by the power of God for the purpose of God.
No one can live a life time of sin unrepentant Romans 8:5–8 “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”

Evidence

Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 13:5 “Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!”
The so called carnal christian would examine themselves and soon see they are not in the faith.
How can we know 1 John 5:13 “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.”
1. Do you enjoy having fellowship with Christ and His redeemed people? (1 John 1:3)
2. Would people say you walk in the light, or walk in the darkness? (1 John 1:6-7)
3. Do you admit and confess your sin? (1 John 1:8)
4. Are you obedient to God’s Word? (1 John 2:3-5)
5. Does your life indicate you love God rather than the world? (1 John 2:15)
6. Is your life characterized by "doing what is right"? (1 John 2:29)
7. Do you seek to maintain a pure life? (1 John 3:3)
8. Do you see a decreasing pattern of sin in your life? (1 John 3:5-6) [Note: this refers to not continuing in sin as a way of life, not a total absence of sin.]
9. Do you demonstrate love for other Christians? (1 John 3:14)
10. Do you "walk the walk," versus just "talking the talk"? (1 John 3:18-19)
11. Do you maintain a clear conscience? (1 John 3:21)
12. Do you experience victory in your Christian walk? (1 John 5:4)
Did you answer yes to majority of these and working on the rest.
Matthew 7:20 “Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.”
Galatians 5:22–23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
