Focus On Your Path For 2024

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

To begin with Brothers and sisters Christian Friends Well Wishers and Saints of God as we glint gleam and gaze at this glorious text we find some gallant facts that will funnel us into a fabulous future.

The text says 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

It’s the first of the year and some of us might need to get focused on the track, the trail, and the trajectory of the path that God want for us in 2024.

1. Don’t Underestimate Yourself. Because scripture say I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.

Tell your neighbor: We can do it.

And the fear of failure sometimes grips some people so tight until they can’t move… But listen to me, Failure is not an option… True story I got a call after my live broadcast bible study. And the caller said Man of God you are truly delivering the word of God in such a way that is helping a lot us especially us preachers. And the point is sometimes I say why even go on the air they no listening, but the Lord’s Word must go forth and a positive word from the Master to meet the needs of the masses is what the Messiah wants. So what’s the point? Don’t Underestimate Yourself !!! Paul said I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.

2. Don’t Exaggerate and Aggravate Your Problems. Sometimes it’s you that making your problem bigger than it needs to be.And you really ought to follow what this Scripture says Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Don’t exaggerate then aggravate your problems.God knows what He assigned you to do… You just need to do it.

Tell your neighbor: You just got to do it.

Do you’ll remember the Children of Israel when Moses sent out 12 spies to search out the Promise Land? Yeah they spied out the land and said surely it was a land that flowed with milk and honey. The clusters of Grapes were so large until the spies had to take a long pole and it took two men to carry back the fruit of the land, it was a cinch.

But here’s the problem. The 12 spies of Children of Israel saw the children of Anak in the land. The Anaks were the ancient giants of the land, and 10 of the spies were terrified of them. Yeah 3x They went back and told Moses the land truly flows with milk and honey but the Children of Anak are there and they are too big for us to fight. They are too big for us to defeat. And all of a sudden Joshua and Caleb stood up and said Let us go at once and seize the land because we are well able.. Only two people saw the right thing. 10 people exaggerated and then aggravated the problem. And the question was then and the question in 2024 is still the same thing now!!! Genesis 18:14 says

Is there anything too hard for God?

The question is rhetorical expecting an emphatic negative answer. Listen I’m not trying to minimal and marginalize your problems but to God our problems are relatively small. God can handle our problems, And when I finally realized that, my whole trajectory on life changed.

Because now I know that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and I clearly know that God is in CONTROL. And Church Things are going to turn out like God wants things to turn out. WE just have to be Faithful.

So what I advise you to do, ( You Listening) Get out of God’s way and Don’t exaggerate or aggravate your problems, we just have to turn them over to the Lord and He’ll work them all out.

How do you know that Pastor? Are you sure Rev? Can you prove that Sir? Yes I can the bible says in Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God

And And and don’t stop reading the text there because in the very next verse the word says 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. let me drop this in your spirit. You don’t think that Good brought this church this far to leave His Church to fail..... His Ekklesia His congregation, His believers His Saints?

Tell your neighbor: God isn’t going to leave us.

3. Motivate Your Movement

The bible says in Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinks within himself so is he. You can only be what you Think like.

The little engine that could.The big old locomotive with tons of horsepower and loaded with torque attempted to climb a very steep hill but went 3/4 of the way up and couldn’t get to the top. Then the little engine stepped on to the same tracks and the other trains said little engine what you think you doing? The little engine said watch and see. The Little engine got way back rev up his little engine and took off I think I can. I think I can, I think I can too too I think I can. And everyone’s surprise the little engine had reached the top. And the point is As a man thinks so is he.

I just had an encounter with my heart. That situation could have gone a whole nother way but I know scripture. The bible says “Life and death are in the power of your own tongue”. You got to believe that God is able.

And the song writer said Encourage yourself speak over yourself. Brothers and sisters you’ve got to have high self esteem, high self efficacy, and high self worth. Your personal aggrandizement has to be UP HERE NOT DOWN THERE.

Because I guarantee you that “If you don’t think you’re something special and you’re waiting for others to validate you and add veracity to your particular case and have them to declare you a victor and not a victim, You might be waiting your whole life for that call that may never come.

And quit waiting on somebody else to tell you that you’re good. Well let me put some bible with that. The Lord said I’m good in fact God said I’m fearfully and wonderfully made. God made man a little lower than the angels So God doesn’t make no junk.

Tell your neighbor: God doesn’t make no junk

Because Deuteronomy 28: 12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. 13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

I don’t care what my hater think about me the bible says in Psalm 118:17 17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.

I’m motivated because the word of God says in 1 John 4: 4 Greater is He....

I’m motivated because Psalms 27:1-2 says The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

I’m motivated because the bible says in 2 Timothy 1:7 ‘God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.’

Tell your neighbor : Quit being scared of the devil

And the reason why I’m not scared of the devil is

because the 23rd Psalms say The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Are you motivated yet? 5x!!!!

Because the bible says Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

In other words stop tripping over stuff and things, Don’t you stress out over no foolishness. because Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thy own understanding but in all thy way acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.

The word says turn it over to God and pray about it. Have a little talk with Jesus about it. We’ve got to Pray with purpose.

Here are some good short prayers to Pray.

Lord have mercy. Please never take Your Mighty Hands off of me or my family in 2024

Lord you made me and you know all about me.

Lord help me with my faults my failures and my fissures.

Oh Lord please look past me faults and see about my needs because I need you and I won’t do so well without you Lord.

Lord help me have a clean heart and Oh God please renew the right Spirit within.

Lord Revive my spirit man when I am discouraged, disdained, disrespected and dishonored among my peers.

Heavenly Father you are my Lord and my God So Lord please take control of my life and handle it for me.

And Lord Jesus Please fix it for me because if you don’t help me I can’t stand the storm..

Lord fight all of my battles for me because the battle is not mine but the Lord’s.

Heavenly Father keep my eyes on you and keep your word deep down in my heart that I might not sin against thee.

Lord keep me calm cool and collected and Keep me as the apple of your eye.

And then Lastly Lord continue to bless me while I produce for your Kingdom. Amen

This is a motivational lesson and the last word is the word Illuminate.

4. Illuminate Your Thinking.

In 2 Kings 6:8 The King of Aram is at war against Israel and Elijah the great prophet of the Old Testament, tells all of the war strategies of the king of Aram and the King of Israel is spared the attack. This happens several times and the king of Aram calls a meeting. In the meeting the King of Aram says which one of y’all is a spy for my enemies. The servant said King it ain;t none of us. King it’s got a preacher down in Samaria that hear from His God. And His God tells him everything you say, even what in your bedchambers. His name is Elijah. The king said go find and kill him. The Armenian army find Elijah in Dothan and surrounds the city. The enemy army has surrounded the city and Elijah’s home. I mean it wasn’t no escape for Elijah. Then Gehaziel looked out the window and said in essence Rev. Elijah 3x it’s got troops all around the house, and all around this city what are we going to do. Man how we gon get out of this? Elijah said Lord show this boy. Show this rookie, show this young preacher Let him see. And in 2 Kings 6:16 The bible says that Elijah said Fear not for they that be with us are more than be with them… And all of a sudden Gehaziel’s eyes were opened and the glory of the Lord Illuminated his thinking.

And there were flaming angels with swords surrounding the enemy’s army that had surrounded Elijah’ home. God defeat their enemies with blindness because is not going to let nothing happen to his anointed people especially his preacher. And that’s why the bible says “Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm”.

Brothers and sisters you’ve got to Illuminate your mind and know that God knows, protects, and cares about every little detail of our lives. GOD KNOWS ALL ABOUT IT SOOOOO Philippians 4: 6 says “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God...... Ok so we told you that
