Acts 8:32-35

Acts 8:32–35 NLT
The passage of Scripture he had been reading was this: “He was led like a sheep to the slaughter. And as a lamb is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. He was humiliated and received no justice. Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth.” The eunuch asked Philip, “Tell me, was the prophet talking about himself or someone else?” So beginning with this same Scripture, Philip told him the Good News about Jesus.

History:
Summarize verses 4-25
It’s important to be “on” all the time
Let the Holy Spirit lead
What is your “role”, A willing sacrifice that points to Christ and him alone.
We are ambassadors for Christ 24/7. We must be “on duty” in season and out of season. The Word says in Romans 10:15
Romans 10:15 ESV
And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
We have an important job to do for the Kingdom of God and it is a daily worship and work in Him. When we understand our role in Christ, we must know that it is a blessing and a calling to be a servant unto him.
We must be intentional about being “on duty” and being lead by the Holy Spirit and obeying him and not be fearful. We need to be okay with being uncomfortable in a place that is not familiar, and look for an opportunity to be used by God.
Let us take on the mindset of responsibility and honor today and allow it to impact how you have conversations with others, whether they’re your family, friends, or even strangers.
Let us not miss our opportunity to share the good news to someone who is fertile and ready to hear from God. The Word says, “fear not for I am with you”. Pray for Holy Ghost boldness and obedience in him. Ask God to show you your role as an Ambassador for Christ and what responsibilities it requires to be “on call”.
Are you ready today to be On Duty/ On Call for God?
