Gift of The Holy Spirit
A descriptive statement captures something the way it is. A prescriptive statement details how something should be. Descriptive statements acknowledge the existence, while prescriptive ones shape existence.
Ephesians 1:13 NASB95
13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,
Romans 8:9 NASB95
9 However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
Acts 10:44–48 NASB95
44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message. 45 All the circumcised believers who came with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. 46 For they were hearing them speaking with tongues and exalting God. Then Peter answered, 47 “Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?” 48 And he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay on for a few days.
Acts 2:41 “41 So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls.”

The community gathered (vv. 42-45)

Acts 2:42 “42 They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
Acts 2:43 “43 Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles.”
Acts 2:44 “44 And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common;”
Acts 2:45 “45 and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need.”

Conclusion (vv. 46-47)

Acts 2:46–47 “46 Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.”
