Miracles
Definition: A supernatural event; “Something only God can do”
Purpose for Miracles

The promised Messiah
Jesus is God in human flesh.
Son of God
Creator of all things
To build and promote Faith. ``Faith means to put all your trust in God.
To glorify God
This week I’d like to share three more instances to provide evidence that Jesus is God.
1. Jesus has POWER over sickness
Mark 1:29–31 NKJV
29 Now as soon as they had come out of the synagogue, they entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 30 But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and they told Him about her at once. 31 So He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her. And she served them.
Attribute: OMNIPOTENT
2. Jesus heals a Leper.
Mark 1:40–42 NKJV
40 Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” 41 Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” 42 As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.
Attribute: Love and Mercy
3. Jesus heals a Paralytic.
Mark 2:1–5 NKJV
1 And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house. 2 Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them. 3 Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. 4 And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”
Healing is both physical and spiritual.
Physical
sickness can be a result of personal sin, a sinful world, and for the glory of God.
Does God heal everyone?
Should we be angry if God doesn’t heal our ailments?
Are people healed today?
Can a miracle save you from hell?
Spiritual healing – Most Importantly!
Mark 2:8–12 NKJV
8 But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? 9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? 10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic, 11 “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” 12 Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”
Attribute: SOVEREIGN
Personal Testimony: Jesus healed me twice.
Physical & Spiritually

Gospel
Jesus Forgives of sins
Jesus can forgive sin; only God can forgive sins. another evidence that Jesus is God.
What is sin? “anything we think, say or do that breaks Gods laws, and displeases Him”.
“Jesus never sinned, but I have”
Romans 3:23 NKJV
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 6:23 NKJV
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God is Just- He must punish sin.
God is Love- He loves you, He wants to save you
Jesus paid the penalty for sin, He died on the cross.
Jesus has power over death and sin. Therefore, in Victory He rose from the dead on the 3rd day.
Romans 10;9-10
Romans 10:9–10 NKJV
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
