Monday of the Fourth Week in Ordinary Time
I think we know about Jesus well, that is why we are here.
Many people know about Jesus more than we do.
today in the Gospel the possessed know Jesus very well also he said ”What have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God?
so what is the differences among those who know.
i think the difference is that we as Christ’s followers, we are not terrify when we come to Jesus. we are not afraid to come closer to Jesus because we love him. however, demons are different because they reject God, they do not want to be close to Jesus. They asked Jesus to ”Send them into the swine. Let us enter them." They do not want to be have a relationship with Jesus because they do not love him.
unlike demons, we pray day and night (hopefully) that we may come closer to him to know him more and more importantly to love him more. that is the main difference.
so the same Jesus who healed the possessed man, in the Gospel, he is coming to heal and nourish us in the Eucharist. he is here for us because he want to be closer to us and love us so that we may love him and share his divine life with him.
