TO KNOW HIM and TO MAKE HIM KNOWN!
“This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”
In 1975 Loren Cunningham and Bill Bright (Founders of Campus Crusade for Christ), articulated something called “The Seven Mountains of Influence.” They believed (as I do), the spirit of antichrist hijacked the anointing from these seven mountains on which the whore of revelation sits:
Revelation 17:9 Here is the mind which has wisdom, the seven heads are seven mountains on which the whore sits!
1 John 4: 3 . . . this is the spirit of antichrist of which you have heard is coming, and now is already in the world.
Our mandate and therefore our model for life and ministry at TToP is To Know Him and To Make Him known and we know that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world!
I believe we are pre-positioned and divinely aligned to Transition and Pivot into a a fresh, new and bold anointing to influence the seven mountains in 2024!
What are the seven mountains?
The First mountain of influence is:
I. RELIGION:
Religion tends to govern how people act and behave in a society. It is easy to see that America is no longer a Christian nation and that we need to return to our Christian values.
This decline is something the Church must acknowledge, own, grieve and repent over and purpose to become the Salt of the earth!
How will we do it at TToP?
A. We will REACH people with LOVE!
and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”
Whatever we Reach people with, is what it will take to Keep the people we Reach. If we Reach them with God’s love, it will require God’s love to keep the connection with them!
B. We will SERVE people with HONOR!
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;
We honor someone when we see them the way Christ sees them without stumbling over the way they are presenting themselves presently!
When we love people with Agape (unconditional love), we are compelled to serve one another in honor. When I honor you and or you honor me, we work through any obstacles that challenge our love and honor.
C. We will TEACH people with COMPASSION!
teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Relationships are MESSY and church relationships are no different. That is one reason Jesus said “love one another, even as I have loved you and by this all men will know you are My disciples!”
Every Contact we have with people, every Connection we have with people will present an opportunity to Teach people and or ourselves with Compassion.
D. We will WIN people with GRACE!
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
This is what it is all about, this is why we Reach, Serve and Teach, we want to Make Christ Known across the street and around the world so that they can choose to Know Him as we have come to know Him!
E. We will ASSIMILATE people with MINISTRY!
Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share,
storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed.
When we Reach people with Love, Serve people with Honor, Teach people with Compassion, we Assimilate people into the life of our church through serving in ministry opportunities.
Sometimes the people we Reach with Love, desire to serve and it is during serving that we get to Teach them with Compassion.
There are many ministries in our church that allows an unsaved or non-sanctified person to be Assimilated into a Ministry of our Church.
The goal for Assimilation in these cases is for them to be saved and or for them to return to the Lord! There are times when their Assimilation into some of these ministries reveals behaviors they are unwilling to change.
When this occurs, we need to make sure we have Served them with Honor and Taught them with Compassion. It might be that the seeds we have sown into them, God will water somewhere else and we will part ways with them.
F. We will CONNECT people with WORSHIP!
“But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.
“God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Our worship ministry is a Reaching, Serving, Teaching, Winning and Assimilating ministry! We want all of these things to occur in our worship ministry.
But the main thing is for us to CONNECT people to God through WORSHIP! God is Spirit and to connect with God in worship, it must be about Him and not about us!
The first mountain of influence is Religion, and TToP’s model for releasing our our anointing on it is to Reach people with Love, Serve people with Honor, Teach people with Compassion, Assimilate people with Ministry and Connect people with Worship!
The Second Mountain of Influence is:
II. FAMILY!
We learn through the Word of God that God places a heavy emphasis on family. God issued the mandate to Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply!
Satan and the spirit of antichrist that is operating in the world seeks to destroy the family! It is imperative that we as the Church, release our godly influence upon the family!
What will this look like?
Husbands will love their lives as Christ loves the Church and gave Himself for the Church. Wives will Respect their husbands as Sarah respected Abraham.
Fathers will not provoke their children to wrath and children will obey their parents in the Lord, so that they can reach their destiny in Christ!
Today, we are blessed to partner with a godly husband and wife who desire to dedicate their daughter to the Lord.
The Third Mountain of Influence is:
III. EDUCATION:
I believe Satan and the spirit of antichrist that is operating in the world has hijacked the anointing off of public education in America.
Many believers and for good reason, have come to complain that public education is attempting to indoctrinate their children with ungodly values.
The truth is, whoever controls education can choose which truths to give to the next generation! God never intended for public education to be the dominant influence upon our children!
The Church is the Pillar and foundation for Truth and we must regain our position of influence upon Education!
The Fourth Mountain of Influence is:
IV. GOVERNMENT:
In Romans 13, God calls governing authorities His minister which He established for our good. However, our Government has become corrupt.
It is imperative that God’s people, the Church, regain our position of influence upon Government!
The Fifth Mountain of Influence is:
V. MEDIA:
I hope we all realize the important role News plays in our lives. Each media station determines what is newsworthy and what is not.
They have the capacity to tell the truth or to tell their version of the truth. If God’s children have a role in Media, we can advance a commitment to the truth!
The Sixth Mountain of Influence is:
VI. ARTS and ENTERTAINMENT:
The arts have a tremendous influence over society. They shape the way we think and the way we act. The Church has historically been willing to abandon the Arts and Entertainment to the world.
However, God is raising up a generation of artist and entertainers who are seeking to restore Biblical values in those who will listen or view!
The Seventh Mountain of Influence is:
VII. BUSINESS:
Commerce determines how we live and whether or not people will be taken advantage of. Christian businesses have the capacity to implement business practices and make sure that the poor, the oppressed are not overlooked in employment, promotion and advancement in society.
We are blessed to have some people at TToP who have significant influence in the local and state Business world. I believe God is raising up entrepreneurs and today we want to release blessing and favor upon them!
