Recognize James Jane’s
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,
by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison,
who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Behold, is it not of the Lord of hosts That the peoples labor to feed the fire, And nations weary themselves in vain?
I want to go back to verses 19-20
Here we see an unusual depiction within scripture.
Verse 19 is one of the most debated passages in scripture. However, i would like to offer some insight about how God has spoken to me through this passage.
There are two main questions that must be addressed. First who was those in prison, and second what was preached.
Verse 20 begins to give insight into these matters.
Behold, is it not of the Lord of hosts That the peoples labor to feed the fire, And nations weary themselves in vain?
For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, As the waters cover the sea.
I believe that the message was to those who had perished in the flood.
To them Christ preached the eternal judgement of sin and the missed blessing of forgiveness that was purchased at Calvary.
Today this is a reminder that of the price of rejecting Christ.
Today, I want you to know that the Earth will be filled with the knowledge of Christ.
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
Christ has died for your sins, and today He offers you forgiveness. But, for those who reject Him, there will be know excuse. Will you now turn from serving sin and turn to Jesus?
