What you Have Came from God

John’s disciples jealousy.
What you have you got from God.
So be thankful for what you have.

When Jesus works we should rejoice Greatly

John uses an analogy that would later fit the description of Christ and His Church. He says that the groom is the brides and the bride is the grooms. He is not the groom, and the people who are coming to Jesus are not his, they are Jesus’. So, instead of being concerned, let alone jealous, we should be encouraged when someone else receives Jesus or blessings from Jesus.
What is pleasings John that his joy is made full? Well, he gets to see the fruit of his labor and the work of his hands. He gets to see for a little while, Jesus working.

Jesus Must be Greater

The end of discipleship is that Jesus should receive all of the Glory. The more like Jesus we become the less of “us” should we see, so that when people contact us, they don’t see us, but they see Jesus in us.
He comes from heaven.
He speaks God’s Words.
He Gives Life
