As Leaders we Must: Be Vigilant

1 Peter 5:6–8 NKJV
6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
1 Peter 5:8 HCSB
8 Be serious! Be alert! Your adversary the Devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour.
vig·i·lant [ˈvijələnt] adjective “keeping careful watch for possible danger or difficulties:”
“alertly watchful especially to avoid danger”
from Latin vigilant-, vigilans, from present participle of vigilare to keep watch, stay awake, from vigil awake
Romans 13:11 NKJV
11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.
As Leaders we Must: Stay Together
Hebrews 10:24 NKJV
24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,
Hebrews 10:25 NKJV
25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

As Leaders we Must: Prepare for the Harvest

John 4:35–38 NKJV
35 Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! 36 And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. 37 For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ 38 I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.”
Amos 9:13 AMP
13 Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows the seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine and all the hills shall melt [that is, everything heretofore barren and unfruitful shall overflow with spiritual blessing].

When the Harvest is Ready, it’s too late to prepare.

Pastor Al Brice - You are poised. Get ready now. It’s going to happen quickly.
We are already full.
156 chairs in the Sanctuary. 3/4 is full.
That’s 117.
Let’s add another row.
That’s 168.
3/4 is 126
We have 192 Chairs if we put the all in the sanctuary.
3/4 of 192 is 144.
We had 145 on Jan 7 with only 156 chairs.
We need to ask ourselves a few questions:

What would we do in my department if everyone was here and we had 10 new people next week?

What would we do if we had 20 more? 50 more? 100 more?

What can we do to be ready for 10/20/50/100 more?

Matthew 9:36–38 NKJV
36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

We Must Pray for Laborers.

Old saying in business: dress for the job you want.

We must put systems in place now to handle the Harvest that God wants to send.
