Uncertainty
Uncertain: not able to be relied on; not known or definite
Have you ever felt uncertain about anything or anyone?
Have you ever felt let down or disappointed because of someone’s actions?
Have you ever told yourself, “here we go again?”
Uncertainty in a person can be caused by a combination of factors, including lack of information, past experiences, fear of the unknown, low self-esteem, and difficulties in making decisions.
When individuals do not have enough information about a situation, or if they have had negative experiences in the past, and may fear making the wrong decision. Can cause uncertainty.
This fear, coupled with an inability to predict outcomes accurately, can lead to uncertainty Fear of commitment, or anxiety about potential consequences, also contribute significantly to a person's uncertainty.
Uncertainty can significantly undermine relationships due to its profound impact on individuals' emotional states and behaviors.
Uncertainty can be a relationship KILLER!
Uncertainty:
Erodes Trust: At the core of any strong relationship is trust. Uncertainty undermines this trust, creating an environment where doubt thrives. If partners are uncertain about their commitment, loyalty, or intentions, it breeds suspicion and insecurity, which can be toxic to the relationship.
Impairs Communication: Effective communication is essential for resolving conflicts and deepening connection. Uncertainty can lead to miscommunication or a reluctance to communicate openly, as partners may fear the consequences of honest conversations or may not know how to express their feelings amidst uncertainty. This can leave issues unresolved and feelings unexpressed.
Creates Emotional Distance: Emotional intimacy requires vulnerability and openness. When uncertainty prevails, partners may withdraw emotionally to protect themselves, leading to a chasm that can be difficult to bridge, reducing the sense of closeness and connection that is vital for a thriving relationship.
Induces Stress and Anxiety: Uncertainty is a significant source of stress and anxiety, which can take a toll on individuals' mental and emotional well-being. This heightened state of tension can lead to conflicts, misunderstandings, and a negative atmosphere within the relationship.
Fosters Insecurity: Uncertainty can make individuals question their worth and the stability of the relationship, leading to insecurity. This can manifest as needy or clingy behavior, or conversely, as detachment and aloofness, both of which strain the relationship.
Hinders Commitment: The presence of uncertainty makes it challenging for partners to make decisions about the future of their relationship, leading to a reluctance to commit. This hesitancy can prevent the relationship from progressing and fulfilling its potential.
Triggers Jealousy and Possessiveness: When partners are uncertain about each other's feelings or fidelity, it can lead to jealousy and possessive behavior, further damaging the relationship's foundation and contributing to its demise
It is possible that uncertainty is hindering your relational growth?
One thing that we all have in common is, we all should be in a relationship.
Wait! I’m single, I don’t want one.
Wait! I’m dating someone, I’m good.
Wait! I’m married, I’m already in a relationship.
No! I am talking about the number one relationship that will put every other relationship in the correct perspective.
Jesu said this…
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
“Him” A lawyer that was trying to get him caught up.
“You Shall” - This is a commandment to everyone regardless of your relationship status.
“Love” - “The Lord your God”

Heart / Soul / Mind
One's love for God should encompass every aspect of their being: their emotions (heart), spiritual life (soul), and intellect (mind).
Jesus' statement underscores the significance of devotion and commitment to God above all else.
Setting the standard for how we should prioritize our relationship with the God.
PAUSE: God is above everything… Not church, I said God.
Before you say I’m single and focusing on me, God is saying but what about me?
Before you say I’m in a relationship, God is saying, Wait! what about me?
Before you say I’m married and focusing on my marriage, God is saying, Wait! What about me?

but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
love (affection) n. — a strong positive emotion of regard and affection.
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
The essence of agape love is goodwill, benevolence, and willful delight in the object of love.
Unlike our English word love, agape is not used in the New Testament to refer to romantic or sexual love. Nor does it refer to close friendship or brotherly love.
Agape love involves faithfulness, commitment, and an act of the will.
