Prayer

Alright guys, first things first, I need everyone to take your shoes off and put them all right here.
Now, before we begin this activity, has any of you ever heard of “Love your neighbor as yourself?”
Who are your neighbors? Do you know them?
Now, I’m going to expand this, did you know that your neighbors doesn’t only refer to who lives next door?
Do you think that its easy to love someone who looks different, acts different, talks different, doesnt like the things that you like? Maybe even to love those who are mean to you? Here is what the Bible says about this.
Mark 12:30–31 “And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.””
So what does loving your neighbor look like then?
Heres something Paul in the Bible said. He was in prison a lot, but because he was out spreading the gospel. But here is what He said.
1 Corinthians 9:19–23 “Even though I am a free man with no master, I have become a slave to all people to bring many to Christ. When I was with the Jews, I lived like a Jew to bring the Jews to Christ. When I was with those who follow the Jewish law, I too lived under that law. Even though I am not subject to the law, I did this so I could bring to Christ those who are under the law. When I am with the Gentiles who do not follow the Jewish law, I too live apart from that law so I can bring them to Christ. But I do not ignore the law of God; I obey the law of Christ. When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings.”
So, Paul even though not being like others, made himself like others to show Jesus and he loved his neighbor.
So....what do we need to do? We need to put ourselves in others shoes ( not literally) But figuratively, and love your neighbor as yourself, and show them Jesus!
Paul walked in another mans shoes to show them Jesus!
Now....(hand each kid a different pair of shoes)
Activity - Everyone puts on these shoes. Have them walk around, now we play red light green light in these other shoes.
